Not that gif! Not here! Noooooooo! Raging Hero's overspill. I dread to think what it'll be like when their 2nd Kickstarter appears...
Rest assured, I'm staying away from that one something fierce.

As much as the memes are appreciated let's try to keep this thread on track for all the new kickstarer campaigns coming this year (and yes, I know RH may have one, but you get what I mean). Cheers

They have stated they have no plans for Bones 3, so I wouldn't count on it.

I was looking forward to another box of awesome miniatures in my basement I was probably not going to get around painting or using any time soon, but was too good of a deal to pass up.

No problem It's by no means an exhaustive list though, so I'm sure there will be cool projects that appear out of nowhere, but I'll keep it as comprehensive as possible.

While we're on the topic, what's the deal with that gif anyway?

Rather than go plumbing that thread, I figured I'd just ask here.

One day it popped up on their official Tumblr and I think it was at a time when we were kept in the dark a lot about what was going on with that particular KS. That Tumblr was supposed to give us updates, behind the scenes looks and whatnot, but instead we got to see weird fashion, architecture and that thing. It has more or less become the unofficial logo of the KS (for which I will take the blame), its meaning is "delicious", which is right up there with the slogan of the project: 80%!

Some of this list does look interesting. I realized I supported five kickstarters over the last year. I have received nothing in return yet. Until I get something back from any of them, I will cool down on investing into new kickstarters.

I do not yet have a name for the Kickstarter, but I expect the launch to be sometime in May.

I am still trying to talk with Tom Meier about the possibility of the work I am doing being an official extension of Thunderbolt Mountain Miniatures' 30mm fantasy line.

The first pieces are a line of Orcs, which can be seen in the previous post:

New Goblin Miniatures (Hopefully to extend the line by Tom Meier hasn't - img hvy)
(The Miniatures I am working on are at the bottom of the post, as I have some comparison images of Tom's work in the body of the posts - I couldn't get the links to my images to connect, so I had to add them as attachments)

But the Kickstarter will be for:

6 Lesser Goblin/Orc Warriors (3 Armored, 3 Light Armor)
4 Lesser Goblin/Orc Warriors w/2-handed weapons (2 Armored, 2 Lightly Armored)
6 Lesser Goblin/Orc archers (all lightly Armored).
1 Lesser Goblin/Orc Command Group of 3 figures

I will have stretch goals for filling out the Armored and Lightly armored figures:
3 additional Armored Lesser Goblin/Orc Warriors
3 additional Lightly Armored Lesser Goblin/Orc Warriors
2 additional Armored Lesser Goblin/Orc Warriors
2 additional Lightly Armored Lesser Goblin/Orc Warriors
6 Lesser Goblin/Orc Archers, all Armored
1 additional Lesser Goblin/Orc Command Group of 3 figures
3 additional Lesser Goblin Command Figures (Bodyguard, Taskmaster with whip, and additional Musician)

In the fall, I hope to do another Kickstarter for a line of Miniatures that would be "Horse Lords" that would be more in the style that Tolkien described of the Rohirrim*; that or completing the High-elves that Tom Meier has half finished for Thunderbolt Mountain (based upon the work The Coming of Tuor to Gondolin from The Unfinished tales of Númenóre and Middle-earth, which provides detailed descriptions of the main companies of Noldorin Heavy Infantry). But it will probably be the Rohirrim, since I have a completed and rigged Horse base-mesh to work with.

One other possibility is a line of Hard Sci-Fi miniatures that would compliment Infinity (extra-terrestrials that are like Intelligent Starfish, or Intelligent Portuguese Man-o-War - they use Drones as their primary means of warfare, with one "Organism" per platoon of Vehicles or drones, relying upon AI to deal with complex situations). But I only have a few line drawings of these done so far (So it would be toward the end of the year if I go with these).

MB

• I LOVE the Perry's work on the stuff from the movies. In fact, the Rohirrim from the movies are the ONLY things from the movies that I like (I have deeply studied Tolkien, Middle-earth, and his life's work, and what Peter Jackson did to his creation is just tragic.

They are some fantastic movies. But it is an insult to JRR Tolkien to say that they are of, or have any connection to, Middle-earth.

Is this the Ghost Train games one? Cause I loved that one the first time around. Hopefully it funds this time!

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

Myth: Expansions is tentatively scheduled for Feb/March...

...although many folks (me included) are hoping Megacon will delay until Recon arrives. That's assuming Recon is great, of course. Hopefully it turns out well, and people can put the Myth rules gakstorm behind them.

too steep for me, but I would like to play it one day.

The Bad Lands Kickstarter will launch on Feb 1st. Here is the preview page, still in progress

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gangfightgames/1965724351?token=8a0cdb41

Interesting tidbit, you don't have to wait for Kickstarter to approve your page anymore. You can just click the launch button and it's live. They have an option where you can request to have them review your page if you want, but it's not required anymore.

Has Megaminis said anything about doing further Kickstarters?

IIRC they're sitting on some nice models. I'm hoping they bring back the asteroid miners and not-Cadians.

Ah, there it is...

I see it's arleady down as Dungeon Decor. Due to launch Spring 2015

http://johnnyborgcastings.blogspot.com/2014/12/dungeon-decor-series-ii.html

Dungeon Decor series II

My second kickstarter containing a collection of fantasy 25mm to 28mm scenery will be launched in the spring of 2015. This expansion contains over 40 never before seen pieces. Series two was in various stages of completion when I made the decision to shut down Mega Miniatures, and like Road Kill Corpses, I want to finish this project. The majority of the master castings are nearly completed as of this writing as well as painted images. Some of which I will share with everyone as teasers here on this blog once we are into the new year.

There will only be two reward levels. The first level at $30 and the second at $60. All pieces from this series will be sold in my online store once the last kickstarter supporter's package has been shipped. Because the purpose behind www.JohnnyBorgCastings.com is to focus on the Salvage Crew range, at some point in time I will be selling the Dungeon Decor series II molds to other companies, just as I did with the first series of Dungeon Decor.
