Definitely this. If I come across it for free on a service I already have? Maybe I'll watch it.
But I'm not seeing it in a theater, I'm not paying extra to rent it through Prime, nor subscribing to some other service.... I'm not even going to waste the effort to pirate it.

Ditto. Maybe a friend of mine has a bunch of fee movie passes and we will watch it on a lark. Maybe... I am not planning anything to see Sony's Spider man adjacent trash.
These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.
I continue to be amazed that Sony hasn't put out a Black Cat movie.
I know, I know, Catwoman was crap but if you actually ran with the early Black Cat storyline (Spiderman chases Black Cat, romance blooms, bad luck infects Spiderman, they have to break up), you could pull in the guys (hot chick in black leather) as well as the girls (forbidden love).

Given how badly they character assassinated BC in the comics when they did Superior Spider Man and how long it took for them to backtrack the weird antagonistic relationship they had set up, I'd have very little faith in them pulling off a proper BC movie, especially as a love interest for Spider Man. I almost guarantee there would be an unnecessary race swap again too and they would throw in cringe mystical cat powers rather than her being an expert thief at the beginning and THEN getting the power boost later like in the comics.

I mean Uncharted was a great game series but they horribly miscasted Drake and Sully in the Uncharted movie with Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, not to mention they chose one of the most boring plots for what should have been an easy adaptation in terms of treasure hunting given that it was already inspired by Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider.
I don't think you can use video games as the marker of demonstrating that they would do the characters justice. Hell, by that logic the Jared Leto Joker in Suicide Squad should be good in your books since Joker's been consistently depicted well in the Arkham games.

This. Other than knowing the games exist, I've no experience with them.
It was better than I thought it'd be though given it's based on a video game series.
"What the average cinema-goer is supposed to get from this unholy mess, made curious only after a read of its torturous Wikipedia page, is a mystery. Superhero films are not dead (just today the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine broke a YouTube record) but the age of superhero films like Madame Web surely is – soulless boardroom product made by no one who seems to care for no one who wants to watch."
It's not out yet, with an August 30th release date.

I’m just glad the film gave us another immortal line: “he was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders just before she died.” I was afraid we would never get another “This is Katana…” or “I think it has something to do with Soiderman…”

Apparently the film is full of atrocious exposition for the internet to have a field day in a couple weeks when it falls to streaming.

When you say "falls to streaming" do you mean a theatrical re-release to appease the rabid masses who need more of this movie, a la Morbius?

"Honestly, this is just… ‘Contractual Obligation: The Movie’. As the credits rolled, I stayed and watched all the names floating upwards, aghast at what I had just seen, feeling sorry for everyone down to the second assistant assistants who have probably already decided on a new career in cyber."

Certain I’ve said it before but I love me some Pitch Meeting. But this movie was so dumb that I even wanted this video to end ASAP. Kept checking the clock from about the 2 minute mark and it never seemed to end.
