making a dark angels army, and im using Belial as my HQ choice. since a model for him does not exist at the moment, a conversion is needed. after checking about the market the only real feasable options seemed to be converting lysander, (pewter) a standard terminater, or the plastic chaos terminater lord. as i needed the normal termies for the army, (and i dont want to buy a pack for only 1 model, and i dont have much in the way of pewter converting skills, i went with the chaos lord.

below are pics, but basiclly all i did was shave off the chaos icons, and add a bunch of bits from the standard termie box, and scrolls and things from the empire flagellants. let me know what you guys think! painted pics will be posted soon.

Simple but effective conversion. I second Power Cosmics comment about the arrow on the leg. That's the only part that really says chaos to me. The shield on his back looks a little tacked on though, could you make some ropes or chains so that it's hanging from something and not just magically hovering behind his back?

i had left the triangles on the one leg as i wanted some ornate trim on part of the armor....but on second look yea, it is somewhat chaosish. i have since trimmed it off. the shield on the back was mainly an afterthought, to disguise the fur on top of the cloak, and reinforce the imperial nature of the model. that said, its easy enough to remove and add chains to make it more of a dangler. ill play around with some possibilitys and update.
