Hey there guys,
So I finally took the plunge into fantasy the other day. After much pressure from those damn GW employees. I got myself a Beastmen Battalion which I plan to paint up Yetti style.

What do you think so far?

Is there anything I can do to make them more Yetti like?

Cheers

Yeah very cool indeed.

Are you going to vary the colours at all ? maybe have some lighter or darker ones mixed in to make them seem more like a natural 'herd' ?

While I like the paintjob, the blue doesn't really say 'yeti'... I'd be going for more of a white look.

To get the real yetti feel, I'd paint some of the fur in Skull White (or something very bright, like snow) while keeping the skin, etc. the ice blue you have.

Awesome idea! Good luck.

The correct question is, would I be enjoying this hobby if I did this?

The correct audience is you.

Use yetti models from the ogre army for minitors

I'm with flamingwalnut, paint that fur white. Personally, I'd actually do a grey for the base and only highlight with white, for a more natural look, but that's just me. Either way, rockin' paintjob.

Ok, so I took peoples advice and went with a whiter fur.

This is the result, I agree, it looks better.

I also changed the material color to an off-yellow. Better suits than red.

Oh and do you think that the Ogre Kingdoms Yetti would be big enough to count as Minotaurs?

Would you play them as minotaurs?

Can you even give those models Great Weapons?

I think the fur needs to be even more white. Great job on these though.
