Hi

With the scout rule allowing a NORMAL move after deployment an before the first turn, would turbo boosting count as a NORMAL move since all negative impact of using it is removed at the start of the controlling players turn.
And does the 3+ cover save still apply if the controlling player would be starting second.

The way it's been explained to me... YES you can turbo boost, NO you don't get the movement save.

You can turboboost as per the FAQ.

RAW you do get the cover save even if you go first and then move and shoot as normal on your turn.

Brock has this 100% true.

The turbo booster save says ithe benefit effects "the following enemy shooting phase" which does not happen until the enemies first turn so if you turbo boost as a scout move and then move normally/do not move at all in your first turn you still get the benefit of the cover save.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Note that while that is indeed the RAW, people aren't going to be happy with you if you try and pull that trick.

If you go first and try and pull that then you are probably not going to be making friends. If you're going second and the guy wants to tell you that you don't get a cover then he's going to be the one that is wrong and end up not having anyone to play with.

I turbo-boost my deffkopptas all the time and when the other guy goes first I have yet to have someone argue that I don't get a save on the first turn. I've never tried to claim the save if I went first though, since I generally like to be able to play a person more than once.

I always turbo boost my koptas as well. I also haven't had any problems with people claiming that I don't get the save, and that means they can go tank bustin!

I actually have a full body tattoo, but it's of an invisibility cloak, so you can't see it.

Thanks guys just wanted to make sure we were doing it right, my friends and i allow the turbo boost but we have been missing the cover save it seems, though this was down to forgetting about it rather than disagreeing on it
