i was looking to make some snipers for my ig special weapons squad, i was kinda thinking of making the three guardsmen with out r=sniper rifles look like spotters. i was also wondering what scheme i should go for on these guys. any ideas are welcome.

Use the crouching legs from the IG heavy weapons teams to model the squad. Also use the binoculars and backpacks on the spotters. The binoculars will show that they're spotters, and the backpacks will imply that they're equipped to stay out on their own for a while, so they'll have supplies.

yeah thats kinda what i had in mind. but i want someone else's opion before i commited. any suggestions on how to make guille suits?
i was also wondering what should i use to base them? my idea was maybe having the sniper resting his rifle on a dead body or something along those lines.

I am having the same issue with my pathfinders. I heard you can make pretty good ghillies out of slightly pulled apart gauze that's draped carefully over the model's body, then harden it with pva. Unfortunately I don't have a tutorial to point you in the direction of, which has stopped my ghillie pathfinders so far.

Have a look at the Elysian Sniper Squad, they come with some spotters. I'm not saying that you should buy them, I think that they would provide some good ideas for the ones that you're doing.

They look kind of weird with the wooden Empire rifles, but it looks like you did a pretty good job with the ghillie suits.

thanks. only one has an empire rifle i was experimenting with styles but i agree it does look out of place. i still have to cut and add some leaves from the foilage off a imperial sentinel spruce.
