Grey Knight Grandmaster Damon Flash

Grandmaster Damon Flash is one of the most reknown Knights in the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Malleus. He was involved in countless skirmishes against the forces of Chaos. In several of those battles, he was believed to have suffered grievous injuries, but have always come back to fight for the Imperium once again.

It was he who spearheaded the assault against the Daemon Angron and his World Bearers in the First Armegeddon War. Just when it appeared that the forces of Chaos would overwhelm the the inhabitants of the planet Armegeddon and a small company of Space Wolves sent to their aid, Grandmaster Flash and his Grey Knight terminators teleported into the heart of the Chaos army and was able to turn the tide of the battle when they slew the material form of Angron, thus banishing him back to the warp.

Almost a century later, he was seen once again in the Mideon War. The resource-rich planet of Mideon came under attack from joint forces of a Slaaneshi horde led by the the Keeper of Secrets She-Who-Whispers-in-the-Night and an alliance of Dark Eldar pirates led by the Archon Charybdis. It took the forces of Grandmaster Flash and a company of Blood Angel Lamentors to repel the invaders, destroying the majority of the Dark Eldar fleet and banishing She-Who-Whispers back to the Warp. It was an awesome sight to behold as a thousand Grey Knights and Blood Angels descended from the skys onto the planet.

just one problem, in your descripion above hes fighting with blood angel lamentors... but his special rules say he won't fight with any allies...

On the whole a good charecter, not to overpowered with some subtle rules that change the way you'll play. I would play against this character and not feel like im being taken for a ride.

Somewhere.

Two things.

One - Grey Knight Grandmasters are supposed to be potent psykers, so throw in some powers.

Second of all, change the name. A Daemonhunter named Damon? And Flash just doesn't sound good. Daemons would be running in case he wasn't wearing his Terminator Armour under the robes...

Otherwise, nicely done.

Ok good idea and stats, but his rule that prevents you taking allies will cripple any force that takes him. I also lose some good Troop choices, forcing all Grey Knight units to become Fast Attack units. I would rather take Stern and be able to use allies.

The special rule is referring to his own army. He cannot and does not have the time nor inclination to take command of allied forces as that would detract from his effort to strike into the heart of chaos. However, that doesn't mean he won't fight alongside allies under someone else's command.

Gamewise, that means he won't have allies in his own army, but he can be allied with another army in a multi-detachment game (i.e. a 2-on-2 game with separate FOC's).

I was thinking about adding this special rule:

Master Psyker: Grandmaster Flash is a very powerful psyker. He has the Destroy Daemon and Hammerhand psychic powers, and may use up to 2 powers each turn.

Then I thought that may raise his cost to more than 300pts and I'm hesitant to make him too expensive. I'm open to suggestions here.

I'm also open to suggestions on names. I was thinking of making a play on words....maybe something like Grandmaster Damon Slayer? Open to suggestions here as well. Maybe something Latin/Roman-ish.

The intent here is that the troop Grey Knights may also teleport. Thus, you can have up to 9 units of deepstriking grey knights, 6 troops and 3 fast attacks.

The intent is also that other armies may not take him as an ally. His army is focused solely on eliminating the heart of the problem and prefer not to have to deal with the politics of alliances and chains of command. I can take out the Pure of Soul special rule if you guys don't like that rule.
