What is your favorite unit to field in your army? No matter what it is you always have to have at least one in your list regardless of competitive or friendly gaming. Whether sheer hilarity on rules, look of the model or how it draws a sense of kinship between your personalities.

Khorne Berzerkers for me. Just the ideas of frenzied killers charging full tilt across the field had me love them instantly back in 3.5. Now that I can store them in rhinos safely their appeal has doubled.

I would have to say SM Scout Bikers. Completely worthless competitivley but just great fun to turbo around the board.

I also think they look really good, regular SM bikes aren't as good as theirs .

My FAVORITE unit is Celestians, but the unit I always have to have is Battle Sisters. Though that much is obvious given the army.

For IG, it'd be a plascan armored sentinel. For Orks, it'd be Big Mek with KFF and PK.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Big unit of 20 Bloodletters... epic fun. That or the Nightbringer!

(Or how about 30 Hormagaunts all piling into combat at once against a big squad of ork boyz... awesome combat fun!)

This is Daemonic Cheese:

2500 Pts
1000 Pts (And growing)

I'd put a quote here, but XKCD would have a better one.

My favorite unit is the Mad Dok with 30 Cyborked Slugga boys - welcome to 30 boys boys with 5+ inv saves and FNP for the win.

Fire Warriors. The rank-and-file bread and butter of my army. They look awesome (especially since my favorite unit of Fire Warriors is lined up in a neat gunline looking badass) and they've won me games that my Kroot, Stealth Suits, Piranhas, even my Battlesuits would have flubbed.

For my Space Marines, Tactical Squad Castor must make an appearance at every game, usually backed up by Tactical Squad Strelok. They, too, are the bread and butter of my SM army.

For my Orks, I really don't have a favorite unit - I just enjoy the look of 60 Boyz and 10 Nobs crushing my enemies, driving them before them, and hearing the lamentation of their women.

Commander Farsight and his retinue with plasma+fusion is my favorite for Tau. Personally, I have a Forgeworld conversion for my Farsight model and the confused look upon my opponents face seeing a crisis suit with a big sword hasn't grown old yet.

Mephiston for my BA.

Creed and Yarrick.

Creed, because in Apoc games, it never gets old seeing the look on their faces when I outflank a Reaver Titan with a Melta Cannon, Powerfist and Apoc Missile Launcher is always fun to watch.

Yarrick because... "Oh, you hit me? Reroll those. Oh, you killed him?? *rolls next turn* Looks like you didn't. oh, your in a Transport?? *peals it open like a can of soup.* "

Marbo!

He and his demo pack always surprise my opponent. "Wait, it's S8? and AP2? And Large Blast? Shi-"
He's a ton of fun, even if he generally only survives one turn.

Coastal Bliss in the Shadow of Sizewell

Suffolk, where the Aliens roam.

Tough, depends on which army I'm fielding.

Orks - probably the Loota's just because of the damage they can put out. Although I'd say my Kommandos are close, partially because of the conversions I did, partially as I find them fun on the field.

CSM - same as OP, Khorne Bezerkers, can't think of a time I haven't taken one of my three units, and if the game is big enough I'll squeeze em all in.

Imperial Guard - Leman Russ, l love the Guard tanks. Always need to bring one along.

Space Marines - Scout snipers, love the visual representation in my head of having a squad of these guys dug in to a nice piece of terrain taking shots at the enemy.

"That's not an Ork, its a girl.." - Last words of High General Daran Ul'tharem, battle of Ursha VII.

For now I am reallying feeling my CMS bikes. I just love how they look. But it might change to my defiler once he is born. He will be a baby brass scorpion so it will be hard for it not to be my fav.

Can't you see we have been abandoned? Forget matters of duty and honor to the emperor this is now a matter of pride.

Jovial Plaguebearer of Nurgle

I always like feilding my plague marines inside of a land raider, just because I love they way the land raider looks when adorned with nurgle stuff. Pluss the fact that its plague marines charging makes me kinda laugh. Big, fat, sick, decaying, marines getting the jump on some loyalists makes me laugh.
I recently started runing a Khorn list thats alot of fun and is not ment to win. Its got a DP 3 cc dreads and 20 berzerkers. So its prety much asking to get shot to death but its alot of fun to play.

Definitely agree on the Khorne Berzerkers. They don't always do much, but I love them because they're in my university's colors (Mine are custom so they're green & gold), and their Skull Champion is always the last one left, taking on all comers in the Captain Morgan pose. LOL (Don't tell me you haven't thought of making the Captain Morgan pose with those running legs!)

Though I do love to include my 10 Daemonettes ("Lesser Demons") whenever possible, what with deep strike with no scatter, 2 attacks to start with, charge/assault from deep striking, etc. They're a lot of fun. I once threw them at my boyfriend's Defiler (& Typhus) just for kicks and giggles, took 3 turns for him to kill all the Daemonettes. Every time I field them it makes me want more of them, despite how annoying they were to put together.

Telion and his 9 snipers for me, Eye of Vengeance has saved my Predator/Dread from hidden melta weapons more times than I care to remember. And combined with Sicarius they chased off a Carnifex and squad of Hormagaunts in one turn
