So I finished my Marine army more or less.. and now I'm trying some boyz.

Making an Evil Sunz army, so this army is taking a red scheme as opposed to my Ultras.

They haven't been based, and I haven't drilled the barrels yet, but I will be doing that before long.

Here are two samples.

Very nice and clean looking. I definately like.

How do you like the detail on the orks compared to your space marines?

Looks good. I made the exact same switch you did. Except I'm doing the Blood Axe tribe instead of the Evil Sunz.

Nice one. I really like your highlighting. How many layers do you use for your green skin?

Are you going to paint all your ork models to this standard?

I prefer painting the Orks..

Marines were fun, and it's a very different style doing predominately block highlights as opposed to single line..

My marines are painted like this:

And I love the look of them.. but Marines have sort of fallen into my bad books at the moment.. I failed one too many Power Armor Saves.. lol

I love Orks that look Dirty but clean at the same time.. and by that I mean are painted cleanly but then made to look dirty and un-uniform.

It's very simple skin too..

Prime black
Base coat in Knarloc Green
Wash in Thraka Green
Block Highlight in Goblin Green with a bit of water, well mixed so you can just start to see the highlights in the colour start to seep a bit.
Block Highlight smaller more raised areas in 50/50 mix of Goblin Green and Talarn Flesh, same water as above.

It's easier to hide mistakes on dark orks

Thanks for the feedback I'll post more when I get them done.
