Ok so I get bored easily and like to try out different combinations plus I find most of the units in the ork codex facinating.. Normaly I run a Kan wall whcih looks like this:

It does really well and I love my walkers alot but I want to try out some new units so I want to field a second list. This is what it looks like

It totals out at about 1994. Their are a number of mechanized list out there and at the moment I have no experience playing it however the concept is hurling 6 transports as fast as possible into enemy lines to deliver their hefty payload while the Kommandos and Deffkoptaz hit targets that stray from enemy lines or pose a serious threat to the transports. Anyway loads of questions:
1) How good is it ?(obviously)
2) I think the Kommados are enough and they are suicide squad are they not? Should I invest more points in them?
3) I am feeling rather doubtfull about the Grabbing klaws. Are they worth the 30 points I've spent on them?
4) Rockits on trucks are dirt cheap and give me a small chance of damaging vehicles. Should they stay or not?
5) I would love to run tankbustaz in this list, but I am not sure how. I know all about the glory hog rule but a) Most of the time I want them to attack vehicles b) I have several vehicles that I can possition to block line of sight when needed. Any suggestions on how they can fit in?
6) How do the 3 Meganobz compare to a trukk full of boyz? (yes I am fielding them because I like the models so much)

here goes....

the list is fairly vanilla for a mech army except.
1)you are right on the grabbin klaws at thirty points they are a major waist scrap them
2) ghaz uses up alot of points that could be going towards meks with kff and such or more mega nobz
3)the rokkits on the trukks while giving you some a.t. fire they are not going to do much (trust me I run mech)
4) you might as well break up the 2 man kopta squad and run three lone kopta.
5) get rid of boarding planks on the trukks and bw you will have enough rams and deff rollas to go to town with your vehicles plus in my opinion if your close enough to use a boarding plank then your boyz should be out of the trukk and in assault anyway.

However how does this list deal with skimmers and fast transports? You have suggested that I remove most things that help me do this (grabbing klaws, rockets and boarding planks) Boarding planks especially are a must as if I disembark and assault I then get shot and countercharged by the contents, and 12 boyz are not to hot when receiving an assault...
I will break up the Koptas to hit more targets..
Also I dont thing Ghaz is debatable. He ensures that the whole army gets 6 extra inches of assault and makes them fearless. He is also a monster in CC so he can take out almost anything on the Waaagh

the deffkoptas are enough in my opinion. if you want tank bustas (I have alot of them just love the old and new models) toss them in a killakannon battlewagon with a kff mek. I know that people hate the kk on the wagon but I generaly park it with the mek in the center of the board with some looted wagons with boomgunz (this is of course if I am playing a friendly game with some kind of theme not advised for a tournament) but generally lootas are better in this role.

orks have always had a problem with skimmers my suggestion... dippers and of course go after the units not the transport or tank. Take out the scoring units not the object that got them there.

I know there are those out there that do not share my view of tactics but this has always worked for me. I like to balance my force out and make shure I can take care of most threats.
