So I've decided to get back to work on my Chaos Warriors. They are UBER dedicated to the Lord of Change, as their color scheme denotes.

Here is a sample of the color scheme I am going for.

Comments and Constructive Criticisms are welcome

Much Much MUCH more to come in the near future.

Nice to see some warhammer on the P&M blogs for a start.
Also...that looks very well painted...could you zoom in a little bit more?

I think a better base would suit him though...as the mini is very good!

Problem: Apparently, ''Picture Too Small''
Solution: Click it, then.

Interesting; it's not often you see a Full-Blown Uber-Tzeentch Force, so I'll be watching this with interest!

Bit bright looking, allthough it looks nicely different from normal chaos miniatures which are all black/grey/red!

Keep on going. Standard is also great looking : D

Ignore the bit about the zoom...I've learnt how to do that now! :p

Keep going - and I like the brightness!

Very nice work on the banner. I'm not completely sold on the cloak being red, though. Maybe veer away from such an orangey red to a cooler toned red, if that makes sense?

Hi there
I really like the banner and your paint stile, the base also has a nice marble look to it.

Only the cloak with its red colour is a difficult thing. Since its red (warm colour) and the miniature blue (cool colour), the cloak draws much attention away from the actual miniature.
The red dominates the blue and this is somewhat unfortunate since the actual miniature deserves the attention .

Cheers! I will keep looking .

So we have a few comments here on my red cloak ... which is unfortunate timing for me as now you have me second guessing my choice ... and as the following pics will show ... I have already made significant progress using the red cloaks

I went with it originally simply because it provided a strong divergence from the light blue of the armor ... and i though it "framed" them well ... not to mention the enemy would NEVER ever see ther backs anyway

Anywho ... now you guys have me thinking about a repaint ... or perhaps see the red in "bulk" might change your minds??? However, if you have a suggestion as to what color you think they could be ... SPEAK UP

Either way ... with this update, the true Tzeentch-y-ness of this army should come to the fore with this post

I VERY much appreciate the comments ... here is some more food for thought, let me know what you think.

Your army has a strong theme and should look very orderly on the table as a whole. This is a good thing in my opinion.

I believe there is some unwanted brown paint on the tail of Archaons horse... but it could be the picture playing tricks on me.

About the red cloaks.. well i guess if you like them its ok its just not my "thing". Anyway nice progress and i would love to see a picture of the whole army together .

Well Tzeentch is the Changer of Ways...and often changes colour...so there is fluff there for you to back your colour scheme. I actually think it looks great. The only thing I can think of is you might want to do some chaosy detailing of mazes and crazy shapes on the cloaks - it looks like your dexterity is quite high, but its a D100 call to be made by you er I mean...it looks like you have the skill to do that sort of detailing. Give the cloaks a gold trim to give it a sort of regal look which again would make it more Tzeentch. But even as it is I likey.

OK so i think i have pretty good idea and i wanted to run it by the forum here for input.

So the red cloaks have been a bit of a question mark for a few of you ... and i was struggleing to come up with "reasonable" justification for it ... then it hit me.

So i have the new Deamon Prince model mostly done.

He is in similar shades of blue to go along with my current models. Then i had the thought ... Maybe give him reddish wings? Not only would it tie him in with the current color scheme ... but it would also give me some nice fluff. Basically i would say that his warriors take up red cloaks and blue armor in emulation of there commanders blue skin and red wings ...

What do you think?

OK!!! Here he is! The man ... well, umm ... former man, now deamon of the hour!

I give you the general of my army "Asdier the Deamon Prince"

As you'll see some shots with flash ... some without ... i felt that was the best way to capture the different layers of color i added to different parts of the model.

As always, your thoughts and comments are appreciated ... please aslo let me know if you think this "justifies" my very un-tzneechy red

Sweet, if you change your mind about the red you could easily repaint it to purple that is tzeentchy but for me the red works good, just that it's not very fluffy but who cares, as long as your satisfied with the colours.
