I did this a couple nights ago now at my friends house. It is his terminator, and sadly it is being converted to chaos soon.

Shave off that part on the shield where you've broken it off the sprue. The whole thing drybrushed a metallic colour doesn't look that good, it looks unfinished. Maybe you should just go for either a silver or black scheme, not the drybrushed look.

It was not dry brushed. I did not put a base coat, as I didn't know at the time, and the paints my friend has on hand wont stick without a base coat, so it kind of either rubbed off or dripped off. ><

As i said it is being converted to chaos, so the paint scheme will be redone, probably a dark dark red if I am not mistaken, going to work on it at his house in a few minutes after this is posted ><

He's only steps away from being a Black Legion Terminator; all you'd need to do is clean up the blacks, bronze details, and maybe add a spike or two!

first off, well done for having the courage to paint and put your work forward. This is hardest jury in the world it is not only your wargaming Peers but covers so many different talents and abilities. BRAVO. If i could add some advice it would be the following.
1. Buy the Foundation paint set. (a good range of colours and has a good flat finish)
2. Always prime your miniatures (Grey/ Black or White it doesn't matter too much)
3. Water down your paints so a blob of paint has a blob of water added.
4. Buy some "el Cheapo" miniatures / basic models and do some experiments with dry brushing and washes.
5. Always file/ sand-down/ clear your miniatures before priming.

You will be amazed how quickly your painting will come on with practice, plus you'll be able to salvage old miniatures in a few hours. The hardest step is the first one, it will get easier and quicker and you will become a good painter ridiculous quickly. Keep going and also read as many articles downloads, watch as many people painting on youtube. You will be amazed!

lol I will try some of those tips, but as i said it is my friends

The black was supposed to be a black base, but sadly I was too lazy.

My friend is going alpha legion or something. Ill pass the conversion tips to him too

I currently are trying tau army, and are working on my first crisis suit right now.

If you are interested in painting them as the world eaters, check youtube, it's called "How to paint a world eaters chaos space marine/khorne berzerker" REALLY good stuff. You may even want to check it out even if you arent interested in world eaters.

Ill tell my friend to do that, as yes he is going half world eaters, and half word bearers. Of the Alpha legion (Figure that one out xD).

Just a reminder it is my friend's term, which I just highjacked one night during a gaming night and painted so it stuck out xD
