I've been painting their primary Chaos Black, and the trim is Scorpion Green with Bolt Gun Metal details and other metallic colors.

Would this be what people consider "Offensive to the eyes?" I think it looks cool, but I've seen posts on here of people giving Scorpion Green all kinds of hell. And it goes great with my yellow smiley face I use as my army emblem until I decide on something cooler.

I put a picture up with this post (hope it works) to show some of my older models. They're not highlighted or super detailed. (Newer ones are, just have a suck camera. :|) The Icon was done by my sister. Thinking of re-painting it. Haha. Also note, this was BEFORE I discovered washes and the glorious concept of highlights. (Two years ago, when I started collecting.)

Any advice would be appreciated so that I can implement them when I manage to get around to picking up some paint.

I like Scorpion Green personally, it's a great colour for chaos as it can be used for putrefying Nurgley goodness and it also goes quite well with Slaanesh's bright schemes.

Go for it I say, from that picture it looks pretty striking. The hardest bit to get right is always the black armour.

Yeah. I think the green compliments the black armor rather nicely. And as far as Nurgle Marines, we're on the same page, my friend. Haha. Only I do my Nurgles a little wierd. Black base coat, Catachan Green over it, dry brush Rotting Flesh, then dry brush more Catachan. xD

I love me some Nurgle, it must be said.
I like it, the colours work well together and besides, you can't go wrong with a bit of Chaos.

Not going to lie, the army is predominantly Nurgle, with some Tzeentch and Khorne. xD

Nice, I definitely love the scheme though. I'm about to paint up a test model in the next few days which is going to be using black and green as well, it's going to be flames and runes though.

Very nice! I'm working on a chosen squad that all have white skull helmets. Was debating on putting flames on them, or keeping that for my Predators... Hmmm.
