I'm wanting to do a Iybraesil Craftworld themed Eldar army. Being a largely Matriarchal society it would make sense that their leaders would be Female. The exarchs should be easy enough. Female Guardian torsos will suffice I think.

Does anyone have any ideas for a female farseer that doesn't look like some gak-ass anime ripoff or a half-assed "future elf"? I've been considering the greenstuff route, but I'm like a 2-year old with an ice cream cone when it comes to modeling putty.

Likewise are there decent bare female heads that could pass for eldar?

I use a oop high elf mage with her staff converted to a singing spear. It looks amazing, and always gets great comments at tourneys. Here is the model. (note this is not mine just one I found online.)

The spear conversion was easy just chop the top of the staff and add a Dark elf Spear tip and some wires.

Great looking model. A little to fantasy for me though. I really want it to look very Eldar and much less Elf.

Considering DoW is always giving us female farseer characters, I'm surprised GW hasn't released a model yet. I was going to make one for my sister's army out of a female Guardian sprue, some farseer weapons and a green stuff cloak.

I may try this myself, as a first guess I'd try chopping a farseer or autarch model at the waist and using the female guardian torso. A little creative green stuff could alter the torso to match the rest of the body and look less like the guardian. As a bonus you can reposition arms and weapons for a different pose. Any elf-like head will be more 40k-ish in the appropriate armor, or you could even use a helmeted head. I think I'd like to try this one, at least if it doesn't look to masculine to pass for a female. But hey, they're elves.

What about female Glade Guard torsos on guardian legs?

:EDIT:

How about 40k'ing this up?

I thought Chapterhouse was working on a female farseer sculpt. I'll have to do some searching, but the greens were looking pretty good from what I remember.

Found it!

The torso for that model is independant of the legs, making it possible to attach to say, these with a bit of work - mostly trimming the resin torso to fit properly and a bit of GS to cover the join.

I would add that the arms (and weapons as well) on the Chapterhouse model are a bit weedy compared to normal eldar guardians, so use caution when adding a shuriken pistol. It's a great model, though, and looks nice leading my warlocks on dinos.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

why will doing the female guardian torsos work for exarchs but not for a farseer? If you have the skills to make a fire dragon out of a guardian, you have the skills to make a farseer out of one.

Guarding Guardian

I'll have to get my camera out but I have done a number of female Farseers for my Exodite Eldar Army. A number of them I have used guardian torsos with the back parts shaved off and capes added to hide those details. Converting a full army into an all female force has been a long road and is still in the works.

PS. I also used a High Elf Everqueen model for a farseer and will post it as well.

Try a female guardian torso (the one with boobies).
High Elf legs.
Either drill a socket (in the legs) to take the torso or cut the torso flat to suit the legs.

The bare (unhelmeted) guardian head looks female enough on the boobie torso (not that elves - even the male ones - look particularly MANLY-MANlike.)

Otherwise, use one of the guardian heads with some "moose antlers" made from spare guardian back bits or something.

The DE Drakon might give you a good base to work off of. After all, they are Eldar. You just need to find a way to de-evil her.

Might work, might not. I'llbe the first to admit I don't know squat about Eldar. Ork/IG man, myself.

Necromunda would be a good place to start. House Escher is the one you'll wanna check out. Another idea might be the Sisters of Sigmar line from Mordheim.
