So I'm just wondering has anyone seen or heard of someone doing a Farshight Enclave themed army without actually taking Farsight?

I kind of like the idea as 1 it would allow you to have the look and feel of the Enclaves minus the rules of course, and you could have the same options in your army as a normal Tau force. The way I would see it is that it is a force led by one of O'Shovahs captains set in a period right after they've declared suscession from the Empire which is why they still have some of their main equiptment as it hasen't been damaged or lost yet (or killed in the case of the Kroot).

I also think this concept sketch made by Lord Dirk would be a good inspiration

I like it because it puts a new twist on the Faright Enclaves. Every Farsight army I've seen has had it's Tau painted up in neat crisp uniforms with little to no conversions. I think Lord Dirks ideas show that the Enclaves aren't as well supplied as the main Empire and so have had to improvise on things. They also look grittier and darker then normal Tau, they actually kind of look like pirates to me.

Also am I the only one who has noticed that Tau seem to be a hot topic on the Forum lately?
