Hi all I would just like to start by saying this match wasn't planned for we didn't use lists or magic items that being said I still think it was an okay match basically it was the invasion scenario except the objectives were in a line down the middle. Anyway enough yappin these were our forces
My Skaven
Grey seer (LV4)
Chieftain
40 clanrats w/ Doom Flayer
25 stormvermin
Doomwheel
My Bros Orcs and Goblins
Orc Warboss on boar
Night Goblin Shaman (LV2)
64 NIGHT GOBLINS
20 orc boys
Doom Diver
Deployment:
The board was quite blank except for the objectives a mysterious marsh (counted as river for this game) in the centre and two mysterious forests at either side of the marsh (around 5" away from the marsh), and one hill in the right corner of his deployment zone.
I was the defender and so i deployed first my doom wheel was on the far right next was my stormvermin with my Grey seer then my clanrats with my chieftain and my doom flayer. My brother deployed his doom diver on the hill followed by his orc boys then his warboss and last his night goblins with shaman deployed opposite my clanrats .
Turn 1(greenskins)
The night goblins moved directly towards the clanrats partially entering the marsh he rolled on the mysterious river and got the river of light he then proceeded to roll for the spell and got 6 bironas bloody timewarp, the orcs moved towards the forest on the right as did the warboss magic was uneventfull as i dispelled both brain bursta and hands of gork and the doomdiver aimed at the doomwheel but scattered.
Turn1 (skaven)
The Doomwheel moved 7" towards the orcs flank determined to stop them getting the forest the clanrats moved towards the night goblins and moved partially into the river of light and received light of battle the spell that makes you unbreakable the stormvermin moved in between the marsh and the forest on the right so that the grey seer was in line of sight of the warboss and finally the doom flayer moved into the forest on the left to not only take an oblective but prepare for a flank charge against the night goblins the forest turned out to be the one that gives you stupidity but that was okay for now the magic was once again uneventful all my spells were dispelled thanks to some lucky rolling (
btw my spells were warp lightning, wither, scorch and curse of the horned rat) in shooting the doomwhell shot down 3 orc boys.
Turn2 (greenskins)
the night goblins charged the clanrats and the warboss moved towards the stormvermin while the boys turned to face my doomwheel. Again magic was boring with me dispelling everything in shooting the doom diver aimed again at my doomwheel and again scattered off target in combat due to some jammy rolling i killed 17 goblins while my bro only killed 3 clanrats also my chieftain killed the goblin champion in a challenge he would have fled had the river of light spell not been again light of battle.
Turn2(skaven)
The doomwheel rolled an impressive 13" for movement and charged the orcs who decided to flee the stormvermin stayed where they were and the doom flayer left the forest and charged the goblins in the flank in magic i got scorch cast and managed to kill 5 orcs. In shooting my doomwhell got to shoot the warboss and bring him down to one wound in combat i took out 10 more goblins he managed 5 kills on the clanrats but he still stayed in combat rolling a double 1.
Turn3 (greenskins)
We didnt expect this to be our last turn but the
lotr beginners were gonna show up any minute and the staff told us to finish up the warboss ran to the safety of the mysterious forest and got another fungus forest (the stupidity causing one) and the orcs managed to rally.
This magic phase is what won the game the shamean got brain bursta cast at irresistable force and killed 4 clanrats he then rolled on the WAAAGH miscast table and scored much to my delight a 2! not only did the shaman blow up and take 3 goblins with him but the
d6 str3 its was enough to kill his warboss meaning it all came down to the combat in the marsh i was lucky killing with my clanrats and my doom flayer 20 more goblins the goblins then failed their leadership test and ran the full 12" while my clanrats managed to stop from pursing staying in the marsh land and winning me the game !!!
