First Dakka-Dakka post, and first 40k Ork build. Ever.

I had this idea of using a WII jet as a platform for a Deffkopta, and I was surfing a few favorite scale model sites, and saw some soviet jets that really had a nice shape ( to my eye, anyway). I have been wanting to make some deffkoptas for a long time, so for fun I ordered four, and and four Biplanes as well for a remote controlled grot/plane/drone idea.

The tricky bit here will be finding the right balance between orkiness and a parts of the planes that I find appealing, the 'fast' looking stuff. They will need lots of rivets, and scrapes, and plates, but in the end I am hopeful.

Here's what came in the mail, and the first few steps/measurements/cuts. Much more to come!!

I can't wait to see how those turn out. Just looking at your kits and a beginning stages those are going to be sweet.

Posting some more progress...working on the BigBomm upgrade (+15 points).

I made the Bomm out of gray putty and plasticard. It will hang off of a boom and claw with some chain.

^ What he said... I think.

Looking awesome so far. Lol, I imagine giving them a red paint job would symbolize more than just going faster.
