Next question for the board - so I now have SIX xv9 Hazard suits from Forgeworld. I wanted all weapon options so I bought two each of Fusion Cascades, Phased Ion Guns and Commander O'Ralai (which is the only way of getting some Pulse Submunition Rifles). They're all a little different, but I'm going to homogenise them as much as possible - I have no intention of actually USING O'Ralai.

Since I have four, his fancy little drones will be my army's version of Marker drones, though.

And on an entirely separate note, I was planning to make some magnetised 'shields' for my crisis suit commanders from clear plastic circles and a shield generator bit in the middle - they're magnetise on to the arm.

So, the question is, what do i use Ralai's shields as? I have two of them

- use as the base for my magentised Crisis suit 'energy shields' instead of using regular Shield Generator bits?
- give them some Burst Cannons and use them as forge world 'Heavy Gun Drones', even if there are only two of them?
- give them a Burst Cannon and Markerlight and use them as forge world 'Heavy Gun Drones', since the snipey markerlights might make them a bit more surviveable
- Some other fantastic thing from the Imperial Armour books?

you've pretty much covered most of the ideas i'd suggest off the top of my head in your own post. perhaps you could use it for the base/hover vehicle of a unique space pope aun'va conversion. For instance, using the ethereal with the two sticks in his hands with this arms crossed over his chest and then put some railings around the hoversled. that doesn't fix his crappy rules but at least makes the fig a bit better looking.
