Hello, guys!
As the title says, I've got a problem with some space wolves miniatures I'm painting this days.

My plan was to paint them with a vallejo "Imperial Blue" base + citadel's "Space Wolves Grey" + other colours for the details, but when I pass the grey (following the advices gave to me in this topic, like to use more water during the job, etc.) it simply don't came out a good paint.
Some parts remains semi-transparent and reveal the blue base, others have too much paint who make a sort of crust on the model. @_@

What can I do to solve this problem? At the beginning I've thought it was in my hand, but I've already cleaned four miniatures and the situation isn't changed!

It sounds like you may have your paints too thin, to start with. Maybe not, but maybe so

For me, I use 4-5 drops paint, and 1 drop of flow improver/water (but that's for reaper paints - I find gw paints to be really inconsistent consistency). I think flow improver is miracle stuff, and I feel like it improved my ability to paint without headaches 1000x. YMMV, but it's worth trying if you can get a hold of some. Most paint lines sell small bottles of it for the same price as paint, or you can get it online or at an art store in "more than you'll ever need" amounts for not much more.

Paint, especially thinned, will not be 100% opaque unless you go for a lot of layers.

I'm not sure where the 'crust' might be coming from without a picture. I've never had anything like that happen to me :(

Thanks for your advices, my friends, but for now the problem is solved: I've bought the "space wolves grey" paint in the vallejo version (called "wolf grey") and now I'm able to paint my miniatures without strange crusts.

Probably, as someone said, the problem was the consistency of the citadel's paint.

Give the paint a shake before use and that should give you a (sort of) consistent consistency in GW paints.
