Greetings all,

Ok, what follows is an attempt to come up with a Knight type unit to replace Ravager models. This will count as a Ravager as far as rules go.

Ok, this uses parts from the Eldar war walker and wraithlord kits. I am really looking for criticism on how I can direct the project to look better. I am not 100% convinced that the size is right, but the more I think about it, and consider how fragile the Ravager is, the size might be spot on.

The weapon arms are an attempt to mimic the arms of a Revenant, and this is one aspect of this model that I actually like. I am planing on using one or both of the wings from the wraithlord on the back in one fashion or another.

I also need to determine what to use for the jets/thrusters, both main, secondary and tertiary.

Ok, here are the pics.

So fast forward a month and I finally returned to this project. Not feeling that the size was what I am looking for I found a nice inexpensive Gundam kit that has styling along the lines of what I have been looking for. You can see this kit here: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXVYX0

With that I picked up another war walker and got started on design concept number two. So far it is just the legs, hips and torso. fire1098 (from W.I.P.) suggested before giving the war walker portion more angular lines, and I actually believe doing so with this version would go a long way to making it a more cohesive design. Anyways, here are some pics!

As always, C&C is most welcome!

What's your goal here? Walkers are just as fragile as open-topped units. ........ Unless its a monsterous creature.... Prehaps a dark waithlord?.... hmmm

Good to be back!

To me that does not look like it can travel 24" in a round. Maybe if you add a jet pack or something.

I think the following explains the answer to your question:

Ok, following the good advice from Cygnwulf at W.I.P. I pinned the cockpit a bit forward and lower, and I do like how it looks. In my opinion a bit more aggressive looking. I also added two mock up weapons to gauge size and look.

As always C&C is welcomed and desired!

Alrighty then. This project and the viewing of a fair number of kick butt titans on various forums got me in the mood to up scale my Epic DE Tormentor titan to 40K scale. What follows is a card mock up of the legs and lower torso along with a scale shot.

and a scale shot:

The areas between the leg sections and lower torso section will get spheres of some types for the hip/knee joints.

Again, C&C are most welcomed and desired!
