Hi everbody!

I just realised that it has been over two months since I posted pictures in the modeling section, so I decided I had to take action. That's why I'm doing exactly that, what usually peaks my wargaming activity: working on several armies at once!

For my birthday I got the Warmachine MK2 rulebook, the Cygnar faction book, a plastic heavy Jack and a used Nomad from a friend.
I always liked the Nomad, in fact, it represents everything I love about the game. A giant Steampowered Mech wielding a Final Fantasy sword. Unfortunatly, the sword broke off and it's too thin to pin it. So I'm going to convert him a little.
The plastic 'Jack I have will end up as a Cyclone, just because I love the concept, but then I still have enough parts lying around to do something with the Nomad's body. And I also still have a metal Defender lying around somewhere. So I could either

a) Give him the Defender and Ironclad Hammer from the plastic kit and make him a modified Hammersmith. That might look cool, but the Hammersmith doesn't really impress me rules wise.
b) Use the different body with Ironclad hand and hammer and build me custom 'ol Rhody, whose rules DO impress me.
c) Take an Inquisitor-scale riot shield and build me a Triumph. Because I like the idea:

Your thoughts? Tactical tips about the 'Jacks would also be appreciated.

Can't advise you on which kit out, perhaps on the warmachine board here?

Cygnar are my favourites though, followed by the minion pig dudes.

Yeah, I got a lot feedback there, all telling me that the Triumph is a terrible idea. Which is a shame, I really liked the idea of a 'Jack with a riot shield.

Hey guys, remember this blog? Because it's still relevant. Well, sort of. I'm living in another city for a few weeks and since taking all my bitz boxes with me wasn't an option, I took a few models that wouldn't require a lot of converting: my still unpainted Cygnar troops and 'Jacks. I knew I still had a box with some unpainted stuff lying around, but I was quite surprised, when I found out, that I not only had 2 units of Trolls, but also the Long Gunner and Gun Mage UAs as well as the Black 13.

I still have 3 unpainted heavy 'jacks, including the Nomad I talked about before. After reading a lot of about my options, I decided to convert him into Ol' Rowdy. With the old smoke stack and yet a similar build to the regular Cygnar heavies I thought he'd fit the part of an older 'jack which has been in use for quite some time. Just as the original Rowdy.
It's not a huge conversion, but it works.
