Here is the newest addition to my IW army. I plan to freehand a bashed up Imperil Fist symbol on the side, but I kinda like it the way it is... anyway C & C is always welcomed and encouraged!

The weathering is really hard to make out in these pics but the eye of horus is beautiful. Well done!

The weathering and battle damage look alright. Definitely better (and probably took more time) than anything I've painted. I can't really say it's the most amazing I've seen, but again, the paint-job is really quite good. I guess the scattering of the bullet-holes and dirt just doesn't seem very dynamic to me. Other than that though, the model looks great.

That eye of Horus is astoundingly awesome.

Thank you all for the comments so far! I was actually hoping to give a rust effect, but it came out looking like dirt effect instead. Any suggestions on how to "rust" it up a bit? I like how it looks now, but I would rather it look like rust (it fits the fluff better as a looted IF rhino that way). On the other hand if theres a chaos legion that keeps their equipment in top shape its the IW, so having it all rusty may not fit in much either.... suggestions?

All my troops are based in sand, so it kinda works that way.. but thats not because I planned it that way, I am just using the basing sand that came with the paint kit, and my creativity for bases is pretty slim lol....

I kinda figured if anyone asked, they are on a desert planet!

Right.

Weathering actually looks REALLY good that close. Only thing I'd have to nit-pick about this model is that there could be more (any?) shading between panels and in recesses low down on the model (towards the tracks), and maybe on the havok launcher. Aside from that, it's a great piece.

lol looks like it all worked out then
but it looks good for a weatherd look, a bit much for rust tho but a good effect for rust is to put a lil bit of sand or somethin similer to act as rust bubbles under the paint, but with evrything, to much looks dodgy

3,500pts 4,000pts 150pts lol
