I recently converted 5 Obliterators from Termies, and I was thinking a sixth would round it out nicely. I was also thinking that I don't play Abaddon much, and that the model was at a bad scale. So I decided to save the Abaddon-specific parts, and use the torso and spikes to make a sixth Oblit. I'm currently waiting for the paint to strip from the spikes on his back, and I decided to post WIP pictures. There's a lot more greenstuff and flesh to be added, but this is the beginnings.

This discussion is absurd. The mental gymnastics on display here are appalling. The combat familiar gives the DP two attacks with a specific profile. The special rule modifies the DP's attacks, no matter how it got those attacks. The CF's attacks are at AP 2. Anything else is stupid. |

Hi there, I'm an hole! =D
"Links disintegrate--
Bolt clanks back and forth behind the thudding roar--
Brass rains on the sidewalk--
The 'sixty rattles out its song.
A song I first heard years ago--
Of fireteams dug in on the breaks between the paddyfields, of tracer lasering the jungle night, of Hueys screaming through the void--
Of Lieutenant Castle getting short and hating it, wanting 'Nam to last forever--
A lullaby come all the way to New York City--
Come to sing you to sleep."

Hey, more pics, this is after some warp flesh has been added, and even a little bit of paint applied.
Also, I think it's worth noting, that my idea wasn't that Abaddon turned into an Obliterator, simply that he is an attractively detailed model, that isn't really the right scale for the character Abaddon. I'll probably do a custom Abaddon in the future, with the leftover bits.

Here it is finally finished. Unfortunately, I think my wife messed up her camera, so these were the best pics I could get. I'm pretty happy with the base, and I like the dread close combat weapon arm.

Looks good. I'm painting an abaddon for a guy now, and it's a pretty bad model, IMO. The lightning claw is freaking massive, and his body is way too small. My terminator lord is much bigger than him.
