I'm trying to work out a paint scheme for my Renegade Imperial Guard that will make them quick to paint, since I will need to paint many of them. In a nutshell, the story behind the army is that they started out as the Household Guard of a wealthy Imperial noble, who went rogue and expanded his guards into a small army. Therefore I want them to look a little fancier, since they'd have to look good guarding the halls of a nobleman's palace.

You can see some pictures of what I've tried so far on my blog, though the pictures didn't turn out very well. Hopefully you at least get some idea what they look like. This is just with some basic colors and a black wash over the whole thing, so pretty quick, but I'm not quite happy with it. I could really use any suggestions on how to get better results without adding much time or more steps to the process.

Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!

You could use bright wetheared colours with a golden/bronze/silver secondary colour

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.
