Theres a relatively new UK company called Conquest Games. They are plunging into the market with 28mm plastic norman knights. Not the best of quality though but I feel obligated to post this for any dark age/medieval wargamer who wants some cavalry

First 3 are the WiP, 4th is 3 UP, last ones are the test sprue minis put together

Those look not bad at all

Good to see more and more Historical periods getting represented in plastics, now if only some one would make Elizabethan and late 19th century colonial plastics I would be a happy chap

You mean later 19th century than the Zulus and British infantry that Wargames Factory make?

I'm not a fan of those minis due to lack of detail, but Conquest Games has a really good studio painter.

Hmm, look nice but not really Brettonian look, I think I'll pass unless I decide to do an Historical army later.

Well yea I guess "Knight" is a bit of an ambiguous term.

These guys are from early middle ages so all chain mail, over arm spears, etc

Little update

21st September 2010 - Busy, busy, busy. We have been very busy over the last couple of weeks, so apologies for the lack of information forthcoming recently. We are now at the point of running the production sprues - a couple of very minor issues have been ironed out by the very talented staff at Renedra. We are now in the throes of getting the miniatures ready for the box art but have been at the mercy of international postal services (a delivery went missing and has only just turned up, hence one delay in recent updates, but panic over!). Our good friends at Army Painter will be painting up a regiment or two of our Knights for the back of the box: you may have seen the noise created on various forums recently...

Hmm might be a wee bit taller than LotR scale. Could work though at longer than arms length away

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I like them, not overdetailed and with a good selection of poses.

Infantry next.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I like the results and have no issues with the Dip style of painting, but these photos really demonstrate how a killer base makes a model stand out. Without all of the silfor clumps & other ground effects, this figure would be rather average.

How can I get results of those ''clumps''? Off topic a little yes, but that really does make the model look great.

Army Painter sells a line of basing products, including the clumps.

Warlord now carries Conquest Games stuff. They seem to absorb a lot of the UK based products into their webstore
