So last month I finished the Space Marine contents of the AoBR set, more or less, as I had to use some multipart kit figured here and there and ended up cobbling my own Captain together. They are Salamanders, and Ill be excited to get some pics up soon!

Anyways, I was looking at them the other day, and by some mysterious (dare I say, malign!) influence I was compelled one late night evening to cobble together a Chaos Lord with Power Weapon/Bolter combo.

So I got to thinking then.... Would Chaos have the exact same unit selection as the Imperial Marines?

Like:
Chaos Lord- Power Weapon/Bolter
Terminators: x5 all Combi-Bolters
Chaos Marines x10, Missle Launcher, Flamer
Dreadnought w/ Multimelta

Now after I was thinking about it, it looked a little boring to me, like keep the Lord and Marines as your core force, but are there better, more Chaos-y choices for the Terminators and Dreadnought? I know people rarely choose Dreadnoughts anyways, so that could be one reason to keep it in.

Im looking for some ideas and input. Im not looking for tourney winning stuff here, just what might be good in a starter set like the Ork and Marine stuff.

I had figured, that like their misguided blue armored brothers, it might be wise to angle this as a Black Legion themed set, so you can go pretty much anywhere with it.

Also, because every boxed set of Chaos always has Berzerkers.....lets try something different...!! lol
