Hey everyone, its been a while since I've started a thread here, but I finally need some more help from the Dakka community.
After building my Guard army up to about 5k points (and still growing!), I've decided to build a brand new army. After careful consideration, I've come to Orks, and going with the Dread Mob army. Here's the start to them:

Yes, it looks like a basic Kan...but wait, what's on the Skull? Why its...Yes folks, I'm basing the entire army around Dr. Robotnik, the greatest video game villian of the greatest video game ever! My entire background is that Dr. Robotnik is a renegade techpriest who, after losing to Sonic once again, is captured by Orks. The Orks, seeing his ability with the Mek's tools, have decided to bring them along in their WAAAGH! Rather than being killed by the Greenskins, Robotnik has decided that he'll benefit from the Orks too, and is beginning to utilize their creations for his own nafarious plans!
As I stated earlier, I'm doing the Dread Mob army: 9 Killa Kans, 2 Deff Dreads, 2 Big Meks, and 20 Boyz, bringing the army to a cool 1000 points. I plan to have Dr. Robotnik sticking out of the top of one of the Deff Dreads, and the rest of the walkers piloted by something inside or a Badnik or two sticking out the top as well. For the Boyz, Badniks from either Sonic 1 or 2, probably Buzzbots. However, I have come across a bit of a dilemma.
1: I can't find a suitable figure for Dr. Robotnik. I want to go for this look:
EDIT: Ooops, picture's acting up. I'm trying to go for an Eggman from the original games, not the cartoons.
I'm thinking sculpting will be my best bet, but I'm trying to avoid it a little bit in this case.
2: I'm trying to find suitable models for Chaos Emeralds. I have a couple that would work really good for the Master Emerald, but I can't find any that would look small enough to pass for the basic emeralds.

All the help is appreciated guys! I'll be posting more pictures up as I progress through the army, and I'll always have growing pictures on my blog, SmellsLikeWargaming.blogspot.com
Thanks again!
Granesh

As an aside, "smells like wargaming" very well describes my local gaming store. Just not, you know, in a good way.

Thanks guys, I've started painting one of the Kans, but I'm still on the lookout for some Chaos Emeralds and a suitable Dr. Eggman figure.
@Ouze: Uhhh thanks? I wanted a name that stuck out and popped on the page, I wasn't going for the Gamer Funk thing....

Either chop some sprue up into crystaline shapes, or buy some of those plastic crystals you can sometimes get from craft stores. If you wanted large ones Id nick the old fire prism bits.
