HI all i bought this imperial gaurd army on ebay and and it was aspose to have 28 heavy wepon teams WOOT i thought and this is what i got http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=32548537&l=53b3d9f725&id=197604675 let me know what you think there are 5 teams that are built 5 more with one guy on it and 18 that are like that 8( the rest of the army is fine but i dont know what to do about the 18 heavy weapon teams that are not there. i paid through paypal so that is always a option. But i asked the guy to settel with me and I was wondering what you guys thought was a reasonable offer i was thinking asking for 100 back so i can buy three squads to at least put some guys on the bases and green stuff them to diffrent positions. well thxs for reading and let me know what you think thxs of the help

Woah. Slow down there tiger. Your post is difficult to read, to put it kindly. Your one cell phone photo doesn't really help things. How much did you pay for it? When did the auction end? If it was recent, could you link us to the posting? It may have alluded to this in small print or something. Just to make sure I better understand, you're saying the following:

- 5 HWS that have two guys and a weapon.

- 5 HWS that have one guy and a weapon.

- 18 HWS that have weapon but no guys.

Is this correct?

Hmm, seeing as you're new we'll give the benefit of the doubt here :

Whilst I can appreciate your enthusiasm and desire to resolve this situation in a fair and amicable manner, and are therefore keen to solicit opinions from the cooler than "The Fonz" and wise members of the Dakka community, you'll have much more success if you take a little time here and correct your spelling errors and have a few more attempts at imposing some grammatical structure upon your request.

At the moment it's quite hard to read and understand exactly what it is you're after.

We also ask users to not use text speak when typing when possible, please remember that we have many, many members from all around the world many of whom won't be that familiar with some of those slang terms, and it would be a shame if they were, even accidentally, prevented from being able to offer their insights due to miscommunication.

Looks like there should be 26 HWT according to the auction.
9 mortars, 6 HB, 6 LC, 5AC.

Personally, with the amount you got for $350, I would let it slide.

For the record, you got about 100 IG models , We'll say 13 legit HWT, Vet Squad, Resin Rough Riders, Baneblade, 3 LRBT, 2 Scout Sent, 6.5 Chimera. That's prob 700-800$ in stuff there.

Well worth the $356.

On Topic:
Personally, I would use some of the straight up infantry to buff out the HWT to have guys on them. Unless you're going blob heavy, you won't really need 70+ butts on the ground.

Ah, a Dr. Thunder special. Surprised the chocobos don't have giant breasts on them... Anyway, to the point: Based upon what I see, I'd have expected the HWS bases to have the guys on them also, and probably be annoyed, at least, that they're not on there. Having that been said, I think you got a pretty good lot for 350. From my point of view, I have the parts to fix up those HWS squads, so I would have been annoyed, but gotten over it. At any rate, I'd say $100 over the matter is a little much, especially given the rest of that lot. Maybe $50. It shouldn't be too hard to find crouching legs for guardsmen for cheap.

Also, worst case, you could use the one crouching guy on each base, with the other guy standing. That would let you stretch out what you have to be able to use 15 of them for the time being.

He got a good deal, this is true, but he also didn't receive what he paid for. I would fight for some cash back, as A- it would be an even better deal, and B- the seller engaged in a dirty underhanded tactic by not providing photos/an explanation that he wasn't selling proper models.

Oh, I'd definitely say something about it; I just don't know if I'd bother trying to get any money back off it.

I guess my response was colored by my own impression of the army. The big thing for me was the large number of vehicles.

I probably would complain and it can't hurt to ask for a little back, but I wouldnt sweat it too much.

By current codex rules, aren't "Heavy Weapon Teams" just one model, now?
If that's the case, then you really only got slighted on the HW's with no models on the bases.

I'd ask for the cost of the missing Cadians @ 20% off of retail to cover the missing models. It doesn't matter what a deal you got, it matters that you didn't get what was advertised.
