The 2 rhinos, razorback drive up the center. Engaging in short ranged fire fights, if either tac squad gets assaulted the command squad assaults into the mix to save the tacs, or it just counter atks the enemy CC units. Termies start in resever and teleport on where they are most needed!

I would drop the Termies. Without a Raider, they'll be slow and DS makes them a good target. Maybe the Command too. They dont seem to offer too much that some veterans cant fill in. For orks and nidz, numbers will be the chief concern with side of MC/tough models. Some Sternguard could help fill in MC killing powers. Also maybe some land speeders/attack bikes or another tac squad. Or get some HS like a vindicator

A command squad is a little cheaper, plus comes with FNP so for a CC role it is better then vets? I could switch the termies for a drop pod full of sterngaurd with combi flamers

I would probably drop the terminator for two Predators w/ AO/HB, and a whirlwind.

I would swap out the HQ for probably an Assault squad with PF/Flamer and a Librarian with Jump-pack. This would be your death-starish assault unit.

I would also see if you could spare some points, and possibly swap out the Rhinos for Razorbacks. That would give you some better mobility, It would allow you to combat squad your tactical squads, and leave the ML's at your Predator/Whirlwind firebase, while the rest move up with the Razorbacks to attack, using the razorbacks to block LOS to your Libby/Assault squad. Now this is a bit of a risky idea due to you having smaller squads, but if you combine their efforts and force a flank, you can easily run a whole army.

Drop the Terminators for Dreadnoughts.

One assault cannon terminator squad at 230 points can become:

2 Dreadnoughts w/ Assault cannons!

That's quite nasty for orks cause they're CC monsters too.
You have 2 Assault cannon plus 2 storm bolters which means:
8 Str 6 AP4 Possible rending shots at 24"
4 Str 4 AP 5 shots at 24"

Plus get them into CC and you're striking at Str 10.

Much better than terminators!

I would have to agree to drop the termies. dredds (er drednoughts) are way better against orcs.

If you decide to take the termies the should most certainly not start in reserve.

While I dont like tailoring lists I would heed the advice from MadMaverick. Never leave home without the ACHB Preds when going against hordes.
I would even consider a TFC.
Get as many flamers in there as possible, so take combi flamers on your tacticals aswell.

I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time.

Razorback w/ T-L Plasma Gun & Lascannon - 230 pts

total 1000

Captain has bolter which wounds on a 2+.
Command squad is now firing bolters with extraStr 7 AP 3 which will give even walkers a headache and especially mega-armour.

Tacticals stay the same. and you have 2 dreadnoughts to cause orky death.

With the dreadnoughts you'll want to advance them till they/re in a good cover position (remember to pop smoke when you need to!)

You can't really beat Thunder Fire Cannons when fighting Orks and Nids.

When fighting with marines at low point levels your really looking to maxmize the amount of things you have on the battlefeild. Predators with an AC and HB sponsons and thunderfire cannons will be your friend.

I'd run:

Librarian - 100 points

Tactical Squad - ML, Flamer - 170 points
Razorback - 40 points

Tactical Squad - ML, Flamer - 170 points
Razorback - 40 points

Tactical Squad - ML, Flamer - 170 points
Razorback - 40 points

Predator - AC, HB Sponsons - 85 points

Predator - AC, HB Sponsons - 85 points

Thunderfire Cannon - 100 points

Battlewaggons are only AV14 on the front and ML are more then enough to take out Ork walkers.

The sterngaurd in a pod will probably die, as they might end up without fire support or to close to the horde. But in the turn they drop i have 5 flamer templates and a big blast template, i think it will be, at the very least, awesome to watch.

I have run lists where i split into 5 man, i dont want to do that for this list. Though i see the benefit, this list is all about advancing gunline.
I do like the idea of the lib with jump pack + assault squad, i think i may go buy myself a libby with jump pack.

Now i got 9 flamers, and a big blast template, pretty awesome right?

BTW i plan to take a picture of this list and post it here in a few minutes!

Very nice army sir!

Well, let us know how the army does. I am still concerned with any MC/Armor you run into, but that Sternguard will definitely make for an interesting show, worse case scenario, possibly you can proxy them for combi-meltas if need be.

There is no walkers or battle wagon in my opponents lists, atleast i dont believe my friend owns one.

There is very little armor in the lists, my friends nids army has 1 trygon and the ork list is just a huge amount of boys, trukks, few bikes, nobs.
Poison bullets, relic blade, PF can hopefully take the trygon. What is the most scary to me is the 30 hard boys with nob + power klaw.

I have had bad experience with TFC, i rarely if ever use mine. I plan on buying 2 AC/HB preds in the future, thought right now i am in the process of launching my own business.

Frag Missile Launchers are your friend, and just remember you just have to get them below 11 and you are golden! It sounds easier said than done, but always focus your fire on one squad at a time. Also your tactical squads should be able to handle a 30-boy squad, just don't let him get the charge.

I played this vs 1k imperial guard last night, deployment spear head, annihilation.

Imperial was penal legion
Lots of troops,
2 hell-hounds
2 Medusas

We rolled off, i won, choosing to deploy in the top right. He chose not attempt to steal ini. I set up my 2 rhinos on each side of the razor back. The plan was to drive them together as one unit and do a circle around the center of the board. (the center was silos blocking LOS) He sets up his scouts in cover in the bottom right. On my turn i move my 3 tanks down, one of my tacs gets out to shoot his squad that scouted, didnt hurt them very much. This was a mistake i should have disembarked all my transports and removed that unit before starting to focus on more things. I thought the tac would be fine to kill them, and they were but it took a round of shooting and two rounds of assault. (He assaulted me on his turn). My drop pod came down at the bottom right behind his stuff, but it scattered off the table, on the mishap chart i got delayed. On his turn one of his hell hounds fails a DT test and becomes immobile at the back of the board. I drove into him as an advancing gun line, His troops assaulted my razor back and destroyed it, when my troops poped out they shot the whole squad to death, which left that not in combat and the Medusa hurt them. Drop pod came down, didnt scatter, all five of my guys used their flamers, removed an entire unit of 20! Commander with his relic blade weapon destroyed and immobilized a hellhound. I was worried because i had so little anti tank, but i ended up winning! My tac squads came in at different places close to the end of the game and a M launcher destroyed a medusa on rear armor. At this point he saw there was hope and surrendered.
