Well, the Pirates Vs. Vikings thread suffered a slight derailment-ish-typethingy (not really, some people just posted a few bits about metal) and It sort of sparked the idea for this thread.
Basically what the title says, if you could be any genre of metal, what would you be? Be it black metal, folk metal, viking metal, death metal, crappy whiny emo wannabe metal, what have you.
I have a deep and abiding love of pirate metal, but surprisingly, that is not the genre I would want to be for the rest of my life. Sure being a pirate would be fun and all the rum parties and raids and pillaging and drinking songs would be fun, but I can't ride off into the sunset on a giant magical eagle if I'm a pirate!
For stuff like that I need. . .

I am very unorthodox and strange irl I feel a deep connection to my Norwegian roots and have something of a spirituality to my ancestors and nature. (Mind you i'm not a neo-pagan.
And like all people I have a dark side but when I was younger I had a wild temper and often got in fight's not kiddy fights mind you but breaking limbs and knocking them down for the count.
I have since simmered all this violent energy into hyperactive tendencies. As you might of seen in that bullying thread and various places I post.

Speed metal because I like promiscuous sex, war, substance abuse, metal and "life on the road" . Because it's a dying genre I can relate to it because I am Hobbit and we've become a dying species.

I like most all metal, if not an entire sub genre, at least one or two song from it.
My favorite's are melodic death metal and metalcore.
I like these because the lyrics aren't too hard on ymears, which is a problem I have with black metal,(Sorry Shadowbrand.), and
the instrumentals is usually kickass.
