I freaking LOVE it! Purple FTW. Did you mix white into the purple to highlight? I'm doing some Eldar in purple and would love a few tips!

Thats one hell of a drop pod!! Allways liked the gold and purple look (pinkish for emperors children). Great interior work too. Your enemies will be jealous of your handy work while your troops gun them down

If you look at the fully zoomed 2nd picture you can see that the screens on the center panel have lights beneath them (red and green) to indicate which screens are on, and the on screen have radar blips, plus the computer one has Green script on it, like an old school green screen computer... had to do the trowback

That is top.

The yellow chevrons are a brilliant move. Purple and yellow go together really well.

I found an amazing tutorial for the caution stripes right here http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/2009/12/painting-hazard-stripes-on-drop-pod.html

That is an amazing job. I'm guessing Liche Purple overall, heavy drybrush of Warlock over the doors, and hightlites using Warlock (thats the way i'm doing mine).
Good use of the black to contrast the purples while having just enough gold to make it pop without being ostentatious.
Great job on the inside, although I always just glue my doors shut. I've found having the petals open leads to arguments of the pods actual foot-print vs vehicles and troops passing by (do you stay an inch away from the hull or and inch away from the petals) and deployment (if the pod scatters and several doors can't open (next to a building or someone elses unit) can the cargo still exit that side?
Plus it leaves me tons of bits to do other stuff with.
A Rhino hatch with storm bolter fits exactly on top of the turbine while the interior weapon mount can be used to make a Razorback turret. I used the shoulder straps to make rocket mounts for an ork Stormboy unit. Etc...

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

No warlock purple, just liche purple. I use a mix of liche and bleached bone for the highlight. In my gaming group, when using drop pods, we fold down the doors, and units can pass over and stand on top of them as if they weren't there. I personally only play cities of death (just preference) and when the drop pod drops in next to a building, I just don't fold down the doors that won't fold down all the way, and if the doors don't fold down, then there's really not enough room for troops there anyways. Honestly i haven't run into any problems with the drop doors.

That it is a fantastic looking drop pod! The paint work looks crisp, weathered, and professional done....greak work.
