I gotta be honest, I thought I knew what I needed to about brushes and paints..till I watched these a few months ago. Crazy helpful tut's combined with all your how to paint XX marine series you really changed my painting style and motivated me to try a whole new range of techniques, thanks man!
Your ferrules are always spotless considering how often you must use these brushes. I use a brush conditioner cleaner (solid block of slightly oily brush soap) to clean mine. It leaves the bristles soft and spotless but cleaning off the ferrule is always a bit more hassle, and regardless of trying to keep paint off them, I always manage a swipe or too each night :(
What kind of cleaners do you find effective for them, or should I just keep going with the conditioner cleaner and put in the extra elbow grease?

I usually scrape the ferrules with my finger nail when cleaning at the end of the night. But if it's a couple little layers a bit of 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (from the first aid section in a store, or from the apothecary) on a cotton bud does the trick.
