It took almost two years to get them all painted, and that was just the marines!

Death spectre successor chapter ? Very nice like the blue / black combination and the iconography you have come up with, looking forward to seeing some more maybe an army shot.

Thanks for the comments. I intend to do a full army shot if I can work out how to get them all in. The reason it took two years was that I tend to build them all before I start painting. Sounds fine until you realise that I started out with 180 of them! Well over codex number but I couldn't stop buying stuff. The original plan was to make two armies but that idea was scrapped. Then the new marine plastics arrived and all hell broke loose. Also it didn't translate very well in my picture but the colour is Hawk Turquoise, the old plastic bottle version.

You do indeed have really nicely edged lines. Do you use a masking technique, or eyeball it or something else?

Hi Caboose, I tend to fly by the seat of my paints! Seriously, I tend to use just my eyes for judging things. Long are the hours during which I had to start again due to not looking at what I was doing. For vehicles I tend to use one of those retracting pencils to draw in lines before painting. This does not stop me going over the lines but I usually end up roughly in the right place! The good thing about the retracting pencil is that it never blunts. 0.5mm pencils work best.

Thanks for all the positive responses. Currently trying to work out how to incorporate all the chapter into workable pictures! Here are some more for now.
