I found this old toy truck in my garage today, and my immediate thought was to buy the battlewagon upgrade frame battlewagon-ify it, but then I thought that maybe I could use as a vehicle for my chaos mlita army, which is devoid of any armour. But I then I realised just how big it was when I went to see how many troops I could fit in the back. The sides fold down, so I may just remove them, but is it too big? And what could I use it as for my chaos milita army?
Sorry for poor quality pictures, if there is interest i will post better ones tommorrow, its getting dark here

That's awesome. I have some wooden rocket kit from michaels and that ladder would be the perfect launch ramp for a super grot bomb!

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

far too big.

This would be best turned into some sort of triple-decker battle bus for an apocalypse game.

They actually made toys for that movie!?! I think it would make an great troop transport. You could always count it as that one forgeworld troop mover that carries a ton of people.

I have to agree. Not that it's a bad thing, you could make it into a nasty troop carrier for apocalypse (30 orks assaulting out will give people nighmtmares) or mount a very big rocket on top and make it into a great anti tank superheavy.

It would appear so, it was a great film! I dont know where it came from though, we have lived int his house for 10 years, before the film, and I am the youngest of three and I never had it.

It would be fine as a superheavy vehicle of some kind.

If you want to use it in regular 40K I think you should make it into a "counts as 2 of" kind of vehicle.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Ork battlewagons, fluff wise, do come in a variety of shapes and sizes. You could just say it's a particularly large battlewagon.

Ask yourself: have you rated a gallery image today?

So now the hard question, that stupidly big FW transport, a battlewagon, or a skullhamma. I just dont know where to find the gubbins and gun to make a skullhamma...

If you make the windows "smaller" or turn them into just "vision slits", you will fix the scale problem as well.

It just looks too big for normal play. So i guess pretty much what they said.

I agree with whitedragon, armour plating and slits will reduce that scale ratio impression. As for the back end i can automatically see two options.
1: Lose the sides and scratchbuild a platform around that ladder and turn it into some kind of long range howitzer, or scud type launcher. The oversize cab is room for enough crew.
2: keep the sides up extra armour and a turret on top, rear doorway will show two layers, a bottom crew compartment and a top weapons mechanics. That way the initial over size scale will be easily represented. Either way the engine needed to pull something like that in reality would need a bonnet that big for it to go under.

A film i remember watching as a kid comes to mind Damnation Alley, had a similar sort of heavy transport. http://img.moonbuggy.org/damnation-alley-vehicle/

Not to mention todays heavy protection vehicles like the buffalo http://www.armyrecognition.com/images/stories/north_america/united_states/wheeled_armoured/buffalo_mrap/pictures/buffalo_Mine_protected_clearance_armoured_vehicle_united_states_army_002.jpg

Get it cleaned up and primed and let your imagination do the rest. Can't wait to see it finished.

I would agree that is is best retrofitted to be an apoc center piece.

maybe have the sides fold out to reveal a missile battery
