As I've been a bit of a cripple and unable to do any substantial painting for a long time - and having been volunatarily laid off due to my present condition ( ) I've thought about a lot of projects and how I'm going to do them once I get around to them.
One such project is my rather dusty Witch Hunters army (made up of mostly troops). I'm torn between doing the same colour scheme - only better - or to go for something different. This has mainly come about as I seem to keep painting things red and am rather fed up of it - I still have a BA army to finish and various other units - all in red. The original colour scheme was based off the codex cover. I've included it here, and several others, thanks to the awesome Bolter and Chainsword painter.
If you wish to forward your own colour schemes, be it written or through a picture, then that'll help me a great deal. Personally I'm torn between white, black and various robe variations or something out there, like green? I'm not keen on blue at all - that's one thing I know! Any comments on the schemes shown and any put forward will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot...
The current scheme...

Black turquoise and cream is very, very eye catching if you think you will be able to pull it off right, it would be very easy to cause problems by having the turquoise detailing too thick.

I'm drawn to the orange one with black robes just not sure how good it would look on a mini though.

Yeah I think so too...I'm drawn to the black with a bright contrast and am starting to like the green one more and more...I guess the only way to go would be to paint some up (cripple or not!) and see how they look - I could always strip them again
Well so far several comments - all different opinions lol Thanks guys

The Green one is AMAZING. Do that one, there's not enough bright green in the 41st Millenium.

I like the last 3 color schemes...really cant help you on making a choice between them tho. I think the purple should be ditched all together...your right, it is way to similar to emp children

I like the second and fifth choices, the black more so as the turquoise robes would offset the whole mini. Here's a pic of my Sob; the colour is Indigo.
