Either use black or brown (Badab or Devlan Mud) on everything, or wash with the appropriate colour for the colour you're washing. Red wash for your red sections, yellow or brown for gold, green for green, blue for blue and so on and so forth.

Are these some of your first models? If so they look fantastic for a beginner. If you have been painting for years....hmm, well then maybe you could use some paint tutorials in your life. Persoanlly I think they look good. They are definately tabletop quality but look fine and are above average from the junk most people send ot the battlefield

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress

650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

Lord Helmet - "I bet she gives great helmet."

not bad. They do look good. But yeah. Use washes on them.

I think you are on your way to being a good painter. You need to work on crisp lines, a little finer lines on your highlights, and as others have said, washes for the shadow areas. So up the good work and get some more practice.

Not too bad, actually. Certainly better than an average mini looks after i paint one. Though i do have to agree with the previous posters, a bit of wash could certainly help.

NO lol jk its a great start. My first suggestion is to never ever use flash when taking pictures of models and yeah, practice more on some marines. They make great test models for any technique.

Your painting is good. It is actually better than about a third of what I have actually seen on tabletops, and the fact that you put any paint on a model period is more than allot of people do. Keep up the good work and the more practice you get in the better you will become.

As long as you keep your painting very neat and tidy then it should look just fine. Also, try to keep the paint a little thin and do multiple coats, rather then one think coat.

I dont agree with the inks and wash's as you can get a 'messy' look but try some experimentation, you may like it.

Currently collecting and painting Eldar from W40k.

The paint looks a bit thick. But other then that your heading in the right direction. And yea rule of thumb is devlan mud or what ever the black wash is. They do wonders on minis

I suggest making your highlights a little finer and use washes. Not a bad start though, keep up the good work.

If I may add my small 2 cents worth...

I was drawn to your ultramarine and noticed there's alot of brush slipping around the eyes.

One of the best pieces of advice I read on another post, was how much tidying up improves the paint job.

When you thin your paint down, this becomes easier. and it's possible to clean your brush off and remove any slips before it has a chance to dry.

I say it often, but if you can paint neatly (as you clearly can), you're half way there. Washes kind of cure all evils, but if you want to get good, practice working up from the darker colours towards the highlights.

Finland... the country next to Sweden? No! That's Norway! Finland is to the east! No! That's Russia!

Your painting is fine (not perfect, but fine)
I noticed some ''too thick'' highlights on the fire prisms edges and the ''regular'' space marines eyes could be thinned a bit (or maybe you just need to use a thinner brush).

Sweet Jesus, Nurgle and Slaanesh in the same box!?
No, just Nurgle and Slaanesh, Jesus will be sold seperately in a blister.

Those are a good table top quaility. If you add some washes, tighten up some of your lines, and work on some blending I think they could be great.

They look better than my models, and I've been playing and painting for years.

A little shading from some washes and you'll be in business.

Just get the color you want, put it on a brush and let it seep into the recesses on the model.

It's a quick and easy way to add depth. I like to do one more highlight after I do it so it really pops.
