Hi all,
I'm asking this for a friend who plays wood elves. He has an alter noble with the bow of Loren (1 shot for each attack); we have established that he already gets the extra shot for being an alter.
He plans to take a mage with Lore of Beasts. If he casts Savage Beast of Horros on the noble, do people think he gets the extra three shots for the three attacks?
I have always played that you use the profile value, rather than modified; apparently most wood elf players play that they get the extra shots. Then also take arcane bodkins and cut through armoured knights like butter.
Thoughts? It's about time the wood elves were cut some slack, so I'm happy to go with it.
Ludo.

Yes he would. The Bow doesnt state to use unmodified values, so you dont.
Starfire arrows make a mess of things as well, any low Ld armies tend to flee rather quickly...

Cheers, Nos.
Same guy plans to fight WoC soon. Was wondering about how to fight knights - I think he has an answer.
7 Shots at WE BS with arcane bodkins - Ouch.

Indeed I do. Death to Chaos.
And that's EIGHT shots - 4 basic for a Highborn, +1 for Alter, +3 for Savage Beast of Horros
At BS6
...ok,ok, at S3, but still, lets shoot arcane bodkins shall we?
Chaos Knight kebabs anyone?

BS6, alter movement (9") so will shoot at short range
Hits on 2+
5/6*8hits = 6.66
S3 v T4 (I think!), wounds on 5+
1/3*6.66
2.2, sadly
but my WoC opponent fields units of 5 knights most commonly, and usually has mark of Nurgle, so with just a little luck and 3 wounds, he'll at least be facing a panic test
....I've gotta try it - WE seem to lack tricks vs WoC as far as I can tell!
