the greeen is a little too light for my tastes. Overall though, its a clean paintjob and I think an entire squad of these bad boys would look great

Nice! I actually like the green, but it looks more like an Invader's chapter colour scheme than a Salamander's. Overall it’s great but the chest eagle looks a bit sloppy (or is it just the pic). And nice rubble road base consider the Idea stolen!
PS:How did you do the eyes (my favourite part of the model)?

It's the picture that ruins the eagle, but I could clean it up just a little. I got the tutorial from Lbursley and that is how light he makes it I guess. The eyes are really easy. Black, then scab red, then a highlight with blazing orange leaving a little red, then yellow at the front area then a dot of white at the back for reflection. Yeah this is just for my friend who has this massive army of unpainted marines like apocalypse army. So he wanted a salamander colour scheme and he loves painting but he's not the best right now, so he wanted me to paint one and see how they would look. I think he will pretty happy with the out come.
