My first ever go at painting a genestealer... Dont know any thing about them. What colour they are meant to be .? So just made it up as i went along

Whatever colour you want, this scheme looks nice and the painting is pretty great too. Nice stuff.

I really like the scheme. Looks like a natural color you would see for a genestealer that spends his days onboard space hulks and lurking around in sewers.

The paintjob itself is really nice too. Would like to see a whole army of these critters!

As for color, it's determined by the hive fleet you're playing. Basically, they should look the same as your other bugs.

hey cheers guys, i got into painting 40k minis just to relax as i dont play the game. If any one wants to know how i painted any of my models, then im more that happy to send you the steps via a pm if it helps any one out.

Cheers banesword. I started with normal gw skin tone the washed it with the purple wash, then back over it with the first skin colour i used " Dwarf flesh" the used "Elf flesh" for the highlights. as for the back bone thing and claws i used astronomican grey the blue washed it ..!! Pretty basic but it seemed to work out ok..??
