My local Games Workshop store is having a "Most Gruesome" diorama contest this month, October 2010, and this model is my modest contribution to it. The day we started discussing the contest at the store I had just painted this troll for my Chaos Warriors army and joked about how horrible it would be to see a diorama with one model vomiting into the mouth of another. At the time, it was intended to just be a gross-out joke, but the manager and my friends sitting around thought the idea was really funny and horrible so I decided to actually do it. A friend contributed the idea of having the victim tripping backwards, so I decided to mount the models as if the man was backing away from the troll, tripped off the edge of a small hill while doing so, and was about to catch the troll's vomit stream in his own mouth as he yelled in surprise while stumbling backwards. The troll is removable because he is meant to be a game model in my Chaos Warriors army when he's not puking on his hapless victim in the diorama. This photo is hosted in my Dakka Gallery.

Yep, that's definitely gruesome! Excellent work, as usual Brass. I really like the peach coloring for the puke, as well as the red scales. The Tan scheme for the troll is a little strange; it just doesn't correspond with the red very well. Just my two cents, I think you'll do really well!

Not bad. The base is a little "blah," though. I would put some details on it. It just seems like an aweful lot of empty space.

Looks great. Can we get some macro shots of the puke and the poor victim's face?
