So...
HQ:
TERVIGON (SCYTHING TALONS, TOXIN SACS, ADRENAL GLANDS, CATALYST) 200 Pts.
ELITE:
2x HIVE GUARD 100 Pts.
2x HIVE GUARD 100 Pts.
2x ZOANTHROPES (MYCETIC SPORE) 160 Pts.
TROOPS:
8x GENESTEALERS (SCYTHING TALONS, TOXIN SACS, BROODLORD) 198 Pts.
8x GENESTEALERS (SCYTHING TALONS, TOXIN SACS, BROODLORD) 198 Pts.
12x TERMAGAUNTS 60 Pts.
12x TERMAGAUNTS 60 Pts.
TERVIGON (TOXIN SACS, ADRENAL GLANDS, CATALYST) 195 Pts.
TERVIGON (TOXIN SACS, ADRENAL GLANDS, CATALYST) 195 Pts.
HEAVY SUPPORT:
TYRANNOFEX (RUPTURE CANNON, OF COURSE) 265 Pts.
TYRANNOFEX (RUPTURE CANNON, OF COURSE) 265 Pts.
1996 POINTS TOTAL.
Swap zoans or extract 1 stealer and 2 termies per brood to get another guard squad and regeneration for troop tervigons. (they are quite the strategic core)
The result is 38 to 42 T6 wounds, 12 of them save at 2+ (rest at 3+) and 12 could regenerate if so set, 4 to 6 S10 and 8 to 12 S8 shots, 6 to 9+ troop units (luckily breeding), besides 2 genekiller squads hunting whatever needs to be hunted. (note they almost hit CC on 2+ thanks to talons and reroll to wound/rend, that's just scary)
Different strategies come to my mind, one of those being creating 2 tyrannofex-termies-guards-tervigon spearheads marching somewhat directly towards foe, thus having armor 2+ plus FnP 4+ tyrannos fire relentlessly until they fall dead (expected to be soon, they're walking targets), termies behind providing cover to the guards that will be firing as well behind its cover and ignoring any other while providing more cover for the tervigon, possibly resulting in 2 blocks of one 2+ armor save and 4+ cover save for the rest wherever they may be on the battlefield, while stealers bug (and likely sweep) parking lots, stationary weapon squads and/or contest objectives deep in enemy territory.
Yeah, zoans may not fit in that plan, they're just a sort of "jack-in-a-box" appearing unexpected (even to me) to drill any armored nuisance still rolling, later on they are just more target saturation meat.
Now, please, grind my list to the ground...

Thats actually a good list, a little cookie cutter for me but it plays well.
hq- I wouldn't put tervigon as hq, this is my preference , try attatching a prime to one off your advancing units for more hitting power, or even get hive tyrant with guard.
Elites- Look pretty perfect thats how I run them.
Troops- I assume you will out flank genestealers, I would only have one broodlord, genstealers as nasty as it is.Drop toxin sacks, other wise your unit is a point sink.
Heavy- im not a fan of tyrannofexs but some people swear by them. I'd keep one but drop the other for a trygon with adrenal glands and toxin sacks, i5 on the charge with re-roll to wounds really help against space marines, plus its alright anti tank.
With the points spare get 3-4 warriors with devourers and a venom cannon or barbed strangler to sit on your objective and keep it. Has saved me quite a few times. 12 t4 wound with a cover save is very hard to shift and their good in combat.
Hope this helps

Tunneling Trygon

I'd look to drop toxin sacs on stealers and give them rending rather than scything talons. Drop gaunt squads to min 10 rather than 12 (it's not as if you're going to run out with 3 tervigons). This gives you about 110 points to spend and you can get a prime with bonesword and lash whip for CC goodness without overly reducing the effectiveness of your troop choices.

New focus:
HQ:
TYRANID PRIME (BONE SWORD, LASH WHIP, DEATHSPITTER) 110 Pts.
TYRANID PRIME (BONE SWORD, LASH WHIP, DEATHSPITTER) 110 Pts.
ELITE:
2x HIVE GUARD 100 Pts.
2x HIVE GUARD 100 Pts.
8x YMGARL GENESTEALERS.
TROOPS:
8x GENESTEALERS (SCYTHING TALONS, TOXIN SACS, BROODLORD) 198 Pts.
8x GENESTEALERS (SCYTHING TALONS, TOXIN SACS, BROODLORD) 198 Pts.

TERVIGON (TOXIN SACS, ADRENAL GLANDS, CATALYST) 195 Pts.

HEAVY SUPPORT:
MAWLOC 170 Pts.
MAWLOC 170 Pts.
MAWLOC 170 Pts.
TOTAL: 2000 POINTS
That's 38 S6 wounds and 3 brand new large blast S6 AP2 shots w/o range limit on 2nd turn as mawlocs would deploy normally and inmediately burrow...
Primes could go with each guard squad, tyrannoes' target saturation role is carried out by 6 more T6 wounds roaming deploy zone (only the first turn) and their high armoured tank hunting mission can be carried out by any 2nd-turn-guaranteed-deep-striking mawloc close enough to hit at CC.

Just my to cents ..

80+15+5 made they out to 100 points each one. If you were considering also regen isn't really necessary.. forget about it on R5..
They can really power up Warriors units so why not take some unit of them?

Hive Guards are alwais good, Ymgarl are just a fluffy thing that really doesn't worth they're points.. take the 2x Zoans Spodded unit. 10 thousend times better in all occasions...

On the previous replys I see "drop the toxin sacs on the Stealers".. omg.
No, keep them and drop scything talons instead.. with toxin sacs, vs every R4, they allready re-roll ALL to hit, even rolls of 2 and 3 and not only the 1s.
They allready have rending and for everything more than R4 you'll have poisoned attacks. It's enough.
I absolutely don't like all those Tervigons on the field, assuming that you have something like 150 Termagants in the backpack it's a lot of point in something defensively good but honestly not so valuable in active fases.. Nid have better things in the codex I think.
The only multi-Tervigon setup I like is when you couple 2x Tervigon with 2x Trygons by givin Onslaught to the big Mamas. This way you can send ahead the 2 snakes moving-running-shooting-assaulting in just one turn. But point wise.. well..

Cheaper that Trygons but not equally effective. If they will be in CC after the deployment (with all the attacks completed) they'll can't be burrowed again.. and you'll have a 3 attacks unit.. not spectacular honestly..

Not exaclty..

On paper True but this will work vs average 12 armors? Mmmmm ...
Something to be reconsidered imho.

Sigh... um
Great list. I do like it, but you don't need a Tervigon as an HQ
a Tyrant of some sort is much better (Swarmlord if you got points). I would say dump a T-Fex cuz sure they are a pain to put down, but they are also at times a glob of uselessness seeing as they have 2shots at BS3. take a Trygon/Prime.

The Tyranids are like the great Hydra, remove one head, two more will sprout from it's neck equally deadly, they care not for plea for mercy, for they have no soul to care. All that is left in the void of their soul is a hunger, It is this, that the marines cannot kill...
