Id say you are well above avg for painting only 4 months. Lemartes looks great....mine still sits in his blister, anxiously awaiting to be unleashed! The red blending on the shoulder looks great. I dont have much criticism for you, perhaps work on your metallics more, but the character is excellent!

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

The Dude - "Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women, man."

Lord Helmet - "I bet she gives great helmet."

Pretty clean. The reds are kinda subdued and grimy - I like that. The gold looks cool, as does the skull. The white looks a little chunky, but that's a tough nut to crack right there.

All in all, a decent paint job dude. Personally I'd give a weeny bit more highlighting on only the very most edges of the black. A brighter blue, but in small amounts.

For 4 months experience that looks absolutely amazing. I've been at it for years and still can't achieve that kind of finish.

"Fenris breeds heroes like a bar breeds drunks - loud, proud and spoiling for a fight." - Grand Master Belial of the Dark Angels
"To think that Tyranids are mindless beasts is a grave mistake.... These aliens have shown evidence of both tactics and strategy that speaks of a far worse threat than that posed by a mere beast." - Marneus Calgar, Chapter Master of the Ultramarines

I think it looks very good. The model itself I am not so sure about. While the old Lemartes model was absolute garbage I still think this one is a little weird... perhaps it is the effeminate pose?

Thanks for the comments guys, was just wondering if I should set up a blog because I've only just started painting my blood angels.

@Gunzhard - I didn't really like the model before it was painted but now that I've finished it I really like it

If you keep the painting neat and tidy, you cant really go wrong. Try not to paint right out of the pot either, adding a little water or medium can make the mini look 'smoother'.

Wish i was that good at 4 months.

Currently collecting and painting Eldar from W40k.
