Some of my latest Chaos related painting projects are now on display here in the Dakkadakka Gallery. It's a bit of both Daemons and Warriors Of Chaos.

Here Epidemius can be seen emerging from the Chaos shrine from whence he was summoned. He is flanked by a band of foul Chaos Trolls that guard the shrine and the sinister activities within. The photo was taken on a Realm of Battle board conversion done by the staff at the GW Jennifer Square store in Annapolis, MD.

A closeup of Epidemius, Tallyman of Nurgle:

My completed Skarbrand conversion, just before painting began this weekend:

The full unit of six Chaos Trolls. A few conversions have been added, like a couple tails, a tentacle arm, etc. I used earth tones for the bulk of the painting:

Throgg, Troll King. This Throgg conversion has been made to stand upright by converting the left leg. Throgg's weapon was converted to a large axe based on the artwork in the Warriors Of Chaos army book.

Two things, 1) those are fantastic keep up the good work. 2) Why was i not informed there were plastic river trolls out now?
But in seriousness love the models and the altar/shrine of chaos is tops!

Thanks. The plastic River Trolls have been around for many months now. I had four of the metal Chaos Trolls, but the new plastic River Trolls are so much nicer looking, so I replaced the metal trolls with the new plastics. A little converting and a non-aquatic color scheme and they worked out fine.

I love everything about them. However I think Throgg needs a bit more character to him, since he kinda just blends in with the rest of the trolls. my own opinion tho, since you may want him to blend in a little.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Theres a troll king character too!?! Man ive been out of fantasy to long. In the that case i agree he does need to stand out a bit. Give him a crown or something equally cool.

Thanks for the comments. To crown or not to crown was something I thought about a bit while I was working on Throgg. The Warriors of Chaos book describes him as having a filth encrusted crown. I didn't really have any great inspiration on exactly how exactly I was going to do one while I was working on the model, so I decided to do without it at least for the time being. I figured I could add one later if I got an idea for doing one that was exciting enough to bother with it down the road.
