A friend of mine fields a CMS Nightlords army but wanted to have a bit of fun fielding a Deamon. He pays quite a bit of attantion to the fluff and while Nightlords dont normally use Deamons and dont lean toward any chaos god in particular, we had a bit of a think and came up with a fluffy way round this. Using the Vampire Counts Varghulf mini and applying the Nightlords colours i came up with this!

The Night Terror!
A Deamon Manifestation of pure incomprehensible fear! It is not known to what greater Chaos god the Night Terror shows its allegance or if it fact pays it to any. Its realm within the warp is a place unlike any other, deep abyssal blackness shrouds it and even the keenest vision would be hard pressed there. The Terror feeds on fear and is beleived to have been created by the culmination of pure emotions driven into the warp from the material realm, these being fear, horror and terror. The beast is only ever seen possesing the body of Nightlords, perhaps drawn due to their mutual desire to cause fear and affinity with darkness. It is unknown if its terrifying bat like appearance is its natural form or one given to it by its Nightlord Host.

that actually makes alot of sense for the Nightlords. Good job! Also, I think (if you use Summoned Daemons) it would fit extremely well in with Furies, which the Night Lords use alot in the older Dex.

My friend actually has A LOT of the old Hero Quest Bats he plans on using as lesser Deamons! Painting them in the same colour scheme as the Terror and calling them "Winged Nightmare's" same idea as the Terror, Manifestations of horrific dreams given substance in the Warp! ^_^

Yeah, the fluff may say that NL dont employ/summon daemons whatsoever, but that doesnt mean that daemonic entities dont still get attracted by NL-wrought carnage. Works fine with the fluff you provided.

Well in the old codex they did hunt down and capture furies. And I would imagine that could be a really massive Chaos Spawn or something.
