The planet, Alteon, an imperial agri-world, came under asault by the tyranids from hive fleet Minotaur. Imperial forces, one regiment of imperial guard light infantry, only made contact with Hive fleet minotaur's forward elements seven days after the initial tyranids planet fall. The Furian 3rd Light infantry regiment were deployed on the green world of Alteon. Furith is a forest world, far away from the reach of industrialisation.

Alteon, An agri world, is a medium planet with lush forests. The Furian's skills in woodland warfare excelled at Alteon. Alteon lies in the Farmand system.

Initial contact came in the form of an imperial patrol. Three squads of Furian infantry, supported by a squad of scout sentinals, made contact with a small vanguard of hive fleet Minotaur. The patrol was slaughtered except for five men who managed to escape, and warn Furian command of the Tyranid Incursion.

The survivors managed to take picts of the battle. Furian Command is warned, and they will do anything to chase away the great devourer.

Well, it's been a month (I think) since we played our last game.

I think it's time to put up the report of the second game of the crusade. Newsreel!

I don't know my list from back then, but I had a company command squad, 5 veterans squads and 2 scout sentinals. (+ all the upgrades) (1000 points)

We played anihelation, and we played a draw.

Furian Daily

Today, our valiant brothers in the Furian Imperial Guard battled the vile hordes of the Tyranid Hive Fleet. A small force of the Furian 3rd held the line against the xenos hordes, protecting the town, FahrVille, behind their lines. Captain Payne led his platoon of battle hardened Guardsmen to victory. He dircted his defences in a quickly set up defensive cordon.

The horde made it's way to our lines, intent on destruction. Our brothers took up fire from their positions, but the horendous monsters would not go down without a fight. The horde approached, but our Brothers on Alteon III heroically held their lines, not even giving an inch to the Tyranid invaders.

The lines were bolstered by the timely arrival of a pair of Scout Sentinals, drawing attention away from the defending Furians.

We have made an interview with Captain Payne, commanding officer of Fox Platoon.

"It was a hard fight, the 'nids wouldn't go down that easily. They encroached rappidely. Suddenly there were 'Stealers on my right flank. The b*sterds ripped 2nd squad to pieces. These men are hero's , 1st squad ran up close to those infiltrators, lighted their torches, and burned the critters with Promethium. on my left flank, the big fether blasted away 4th squad. Only one of them survived. But the man took a fallen plasma gun, and ran forward, wanting revenge. He killed a 'fex, and he survived. The man's my squad's plasma gunner now. "

I asked him how the war was going.

"Look, What-s-yer-name, that's Guard bussines. You guys back home can think this was a victory, but we took a beating."

Colonel Marken informed me the war on Alteon III is going well, and that our boys would surely overcome the Tyranid invader.
