Gotta love fake alliteration.

I've come up with my own Kabal that I'm painting up now. The Kabal of the Burning Hand.

Features black armor plates with a glowing lining on all the tips of the armor. Copper Splinter Rifles and Green highlights on the poison and drug elements and the eyes.

Here is a crappy iPhone pic of my paint scheme with as much of the background cropped out as I could.

It's not fully finished... but it gives the general idea.

No base yet.. as I have to pick one, and I'm open to suggestions. I was considering molten rock.

Submitted for your approval.

I like it overall. The warrior looks good. Not feeling the rusty look on the weapon though.

You know it's funny you should say that... the pic really makes it look that way when it's not

What I did was Dwarf Bronze and then a home made wash of Hawk Turquoise mixed 50:50 with Snot Green then watered down to all heck. I spread it on and then wiped off the surfaces. It looks pretty rad here... but the pic does make it look rusty.

I'd ditch the green in the gun for a metal, it does make it look like a gauss flayer. Also, going ballz out with such a bold orange means you should probably try to use a lot more desaturated neutrals IMO, if you make 2 colors that saturated compete, it will overpower everything. Instead of green, a burgundy or grey would be a much less jarring contrast but still keep the look interesting.

I like the body colors, the green on the gun makes it look too necron-ish. Maybe go with a purple or pink or something, give it a more dark eldar vibe (you know, they were the reason Slaanesh was born, gotta get some pink in there!). Lava bases would go great with the orangey/yellow armor trim. Just my 2 cents.

Love the body colors. Makes me think of a wasp or yellowjacket, which fits the DE perfectly.

Not sure about the gun, simply because of the green, but I'm not entirely sure about what color would be a good replacement.

Ouze on GW: "I'd like to be like, hey baby, you're a freak but you just got too much crazy going on, and I don't hook up with bunny boilers. But then Necrons are going to come out, and I'm going to be like damn girl, and then next thing you know, it's angry sex time again.

It's complicated."

I like the scheme, but the gun's colours do look a bit strange.

I like the name and the colors...The only suggestion I have would be to refine the edge highlighting a little bit. I think the model would look real nice if the highlight was done in a thin fashion.

Personally, I love it, don't change a thing! I think the gun matches perfectly with the colour scheme.

As for basing, maybe go with a light sandstone colour? would contrast well with the dark+neon scheme.

Here's my Warrior now with a base.

Ruined Tile flooring with snow drifts.

Process:
1/8" Scale Model Train Scenery Sidewalk cut into 4x4 tile sections.
Using a Pin Vice I drilled gun shot holes into the sidewalk
Using a Hobby Knife I detailed the gun shot holes and carved chips out of the sidewalk.
I primed the whole base.
I painted the top Dheneb Stone.
Washed Gryphon Sepia mixed 60:40 with water.
Then I painted the individual squares, avoiding the cracks and holes with Dheneb again.
Following that I mixed 50:50 Dheneb and Skull White and painted highlights in the middle of the squares.
Lastly for the paint portion, a thin line of pure skull white around the edges of each square.
For the snow, I used Scenic Cement and then applied Fluffy Snow Flakes from Scenic Effects.
I repeated that process twice before sealing it in with a top coat of Scenic Cement.

This is the result: (again I'm sorry for phone pic )

I like it overall, but maybe put some twisted "flame like" extensions around the eyes. Nothing drastic just a whisp or two. Good work, I really dig the base too.

I think a wash on the skin loincloth would really seal the deal, and maybe some blood on the edges of the skin?

I'm probably gonna go over it with a rotting flesh wash, just haven't got around to it... I have built, painted and based another 3 warriors though.
