So to continue a thread from earlier, I have a related but seperate question.

Hers the scenerio (which is pretty simple from upon first glance) Skulltaker charges a PF.
Now after the charge happens and everyone is in base to base several "at the beginning of combat" affects take place.
- impact hits from monstrous calvary
- the cloud affect from the furnace
- skulltaker issues a challenge
- my opponent complains about how op daemons are , while I tell him his skaven are rediculously undercosted
The question is which happens first. Or does everything happen simultaneously, or does the table disappear in a black hole created when time and space fall in on each other.

Imact and fog would happen simultaniously aka at the beggining of combat, and then you can challenge just before starting to make attacks.

I think in cases of simultaneous events the general tendency in FAQs is that the player whose turn is taking place chooses what happens.

Personally, I'd call it the way HoverBoy does, because the intent of the rules is clearly not that skulltaker have to tank your plague furnace's impact hits, cloud attacks, and so on, all by himself.

And, of course, if a black hole did appear, it would suck up somebody who takes skulltaker (who IS in fact overpowered to a disgusting degree, even if the rest of the daemon book isn't any more) and a skaven player (nough said), which in my view would be all to the good.

Cheers,
Mal

I believe the skaven book states that fog is before impact.
The rule book states that impact is before challenges are issued.

So the other would be:
1,2,3) Fog & Censor gas (if any), banner of under empire.
4) impact hits (if any),
5) challenges (unit champ accepts skulltakers),
6)then normal attacks,
7) ending with the wrecker ball (if it's your turn).

With the banner of the under empire, that also is the start, so the player's who turn it is decided if the 2D6 S2 hits are before or after the gas.

Cry using happens once your opponent realizes their is 4 steps of him taking pain before skull taking gets to issue a challenge. If not, they crying begins as soon as the plague monks unit champ says to skull taker, I accept!
