Hi everyone! My friends and I are starting apoc and I want to try my hand at building a fighta bomma. I'm thinking of useing pop bottles as a base, but I don't know the dementions for a fighta bomma... could you guys help me out?

Also, if you guys have any pics of scrap build fighta bommas that would be great!

In return for your help how about I post pics of my progress while building it

I found this one: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/224698.page

Looks like any kind of plane like that with bitz of Plasticard glued to them would do the job.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Well, you can use plastic bottles but have thought of using a mig-15 or an me-262 model kit and orking it up. It would be less time consuming and not a bottle with wings. You can get those kits online or most hobby shops for pretty cheap and they look good. If you are looking for plasticard for armor just use for sale signs since they are cheap and thin enough for aircraft armor. I would go that route before the bottle with wings idea. A fighta bomma is almost a foot long by a foot wide and about 4 inchs tall.

A valkery (I have no idea how to spell it either atm) would work peerfectly, ecept that I really dont want to spend more than $10.00 on this lol thats why i wanted to make it out of scrap. I might check out the hobby shops for WWII bombers though...

I will try to post pics while i'm building it to get some CC from you guys

It might be a tad small but i personally like the look of a Vought f4u Corsair (http://www.warbirdalley.com/images/f4u-01.jpg) or a Gloster Meteor (http://www.oldtimerfan.nl/wp-content/galerij/gloster/meteor-f8/024dbdaabdb020423cccc415f716ee20_n.jpg) as a ork bomba. You may need some bigger planes though to get it to a propper bomba size.

I go and buy 1:42 scale airplane model kits for like $12.00. You have to cut em up and tweak them a bit, but it is always a good start. I have a few more picks of fightas in my gallery check em out for some ideas
