This is one of my earlier attempts at making custom Ork stuff. The plane is 1/48th scale. I took the bombs from a 1/32 scale model. It has 5 big shootas (4 on the hull, 1 turret mounted). My pictures are pretty poor (cheap camera).

I am selling it on Ebay if anyone is interested, but I am posting it here mainly for critique and suggestions for when I build my next one.

Ork vehicles are boxy/blocky and hodge-podge, your model is too clean for lack of a better term.

Apart from that, great start!

I dont like it (sorry).

First up, its too obviously an ork and some weapons bodged onto a WW2 fighter (hurricane?).

Secondly I question the scale quoted, they model looks more 1:72 to me.

I like the WW2 plane idea as well, but it could use some more detail. Remember that stuff in 40k always has a lot more detail than stuff in real life. Have you ever compared a Baneblade to an actual tank? They're way more complex.

Thanks for the feedback. I might glue some random square plasticard pieces with rivets on it in strategic places if it doesn't sell. That might help Ork it up a bit. I'm selling it to dump the money into another Ork project though I figured someone would buy it as a solid base and convert it up some more.

ok, good idea to start with, but it needs more edges, rivits, and dakka, spitfires arent too dakka, theyre one of the most elegant fighters of all time, try a p-40 warhawk, or something not too easy on the eyes

I would have redone the prop... perhaps using the new Deff Kopta as a guide with its rotor. Some plasticard patches and other stuff would've helped some too... but I do like the concept!

needs some messiness
