I thought of an idea for some missions fo space hulk and their accompanying fluff based on the fact Claudio has no purity seals and is bedecked with skulls. Here Goes Mission XIII Claudio woke, lying on his chest. Glancing around, he is surrounded by genestealers, dead by his own hand. Slowly pushing himself up, he tried to contact the others through the vox. Only static. He wondered why he was in this room. Suddenly, Castilarius’ face flashed into his mind. He had escaped with the sample. Looking down at his damaged armor, and the claw marks in the walls, he realized he must have fought his way over, and collapsed. Claudio glanced around, began to make his way to the chute. Perhaps he could get out alive. As he drew near, he heard the sound of creaking metal. Turning, he searched for genestealers. He saw nothing, but he knew. Igniting his Lightning claws, he bellowed, “Come On!” challenging the foul xenos to attack him. Setup: Same as Mission 12, but only one floor level Forces: Only Brother Claudio is used for this mission. The Tyranid player receives 1 blip, and 1 blip reinforcement each turn Special Rules: The One and Only: Brother Claudio can only be killed by losing a close assault twice. In addition, he now has 5 action points. Heavy Blast Door: The door before the disposal chute has closed and locked. It cannot be destroyed in close assault. To unlock the door, it costs 4 ap. The door is then opened automatically the end of the next full turn. Deployment: Claudio is placed in the room in front of the ‘F’ ladder Victory: If Claudio makes it to the disposal shoot, the Space Marine player wins. Any other scenario is defeat. As the doors opened, Claudio made his way inside. To his dismay, the disposal chute had closed and a section of the wall had fallen over it. Turning, he spotted a large number of genestealers racing toward him. With a sigh, he stepped back into the corridor. “I may die. But I can bring you all…” He said, lunging forward into the mass of genestealers, “ WITH ME!” Claudio continued to kill the stealers, slashing them to ribbons and punching his claws into their chitin. As the battle drew on, he began to move more slowly, overwhelmed by the genestealers. As their attacks kept hammering his armor, he said a prayer, asking for a way out. A voice replied in his head, “There is a cargo elevator in an imperial cruiser connected with this ship. Take it, and there is an escape ship in the hanger.” Claudio looked around, and activated his vox. Static. “Madness!” he yelled as he dropped the last genestealer. Thinking on the voice he heard, he began to make his way out of the ship. Setup: Same as Mission 12 Forces: Only Brother Claudio is used for this mission. The Tyranid player receives 1 blip, and 1 blip reinforcement each turn Special Rules: The One and Only: Brother Claudio can only be killed by losing a close assault twice. In addition, he now has 5 action points. Deployment: Claudio is placed in the room containing the disposal chute. Victory: Claudio must make it back to the top floor, and exit through any one of the corridors parallel to, or the, corridor containing the ladder ‘F’ If he does not, Tyranid victory Claudio made his way into the Imperial cruiser. Glancing around, he noticed the elevator on the far size of an empty hanger. He began to move toward the elevator, when a genestealer burst from the floor in front of him. As he strode forward to finght it, a second genestealer pounced from the wall, crashing into Claudio’s side. Swiping at them with his claws, he tried to get back up, but he was pinned. Ramming his claws under the chin of the genestealer on top of him, he threw it off, spinning at catching the other stealer in the chest with the second lightning claw. Racing toward the elevator, Claudio looked back and saw more genestealers pouring out of the hole. “Damn them,” He thought, as he stepped into the elevator. Slamming his fist against the power button, the elevator’s glass door rotated closed and it slowly began to rise. However, the safety of the elevator was short lived. Genestealers were climbing up the cables and punching their arms through the glass, desperate to reach Claudio. Slashing off their arms, he continued to knock them off until the elevator stopped. What he saw filled him with rage, and distress. The voice had not lied; there was an escape ship in the hanger. What it had failed to tell him was that there were hundreds of dormant genestealers in the hanger. The loud clash of the elevator woke them, and they all turned their eyes onto Claudio. “How can I possibly…” He whispered. “Give into your anger. If you join me, you will have the strength to overcome them. All I ask in return is that you spill their blood for me…” Said the voice. “I will do it.” Claudio said. Feeling the raw power flow into him, he screamed, and the genestealers pounced. The room was silent. Gore covered the floor, and the scent of charred meat filled the air. Slowly, a shape emerged from the massive pile of gore in the center. Claudio rose up, and walked to the shuttle, filled with new purpose. Slowly, he removed his helmet and he stepped inside, throwing it aside. Detaching his lightning claws, he stared at his own flesh. Stripping himself out of his armor, he slowly sunk into the seat at the front of the ship. Hitting the activation button, the ship sputtered into life, before slowly flying out of the massive hole in ceiling and into space. As the gore slid off his armor and puddled onto the floor, an unmistakable shape remained, and a harsh laugh echoed through the ship. (I will add a mission for the first hanger betting into the elevator soon)
